Restaurant is located in a restored church. Food was excellent. Nice menu choices and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. Worth a visit.

“Love Taste of Lemon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

When we visit our family in Lagrange Ga., we often try to eat at the Taste of Lemon restaurant if time permits. It is located in an old church downtown and has great food and lots of atmosphere. It is always full of the 'locals' which speaks well for it.

“Great Southern Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

We enjoyed the country fried steak, pork roast, and fried pork chop for lunch. All as I remembered from long ago. The vegetables were great.(Turnips/fried okra/green beans/sweet potatoes, etc.) Sweet tea nearly the best I have ever had. Service slightly slow. Place was packed and busy.Loud with people talking, but due to people having friendly conversation.Desserts are great as well, especially the banana pudding.Located right on the edge of town.Very resonably priced. If in the area give it a try.

“Old-fashioned fine southern cooking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

Hidden behind shrubbery in an old church building, this is a real find. We've been steady customers for fifteen years, before they moved into the old sanctuary space. The standard meat-and-three is always good, whether smothered pork chops or chop steak and gravy, all are great and the sides are all southern standbys: green beans, squash, cornbread dressing, corn pudding. There is also a fair range of desserts, including buttermilk pie, most always served warm. The piece due resistance is the salad plate, with seven different cold salads which include carrot and raisin, broccoli and raisin, lime congealed salad, curry vermicelli, chicken salad and whatever else is handy that day, sometimes a deviled egg. Service is fast, even though lunch is crowded every day. Best southern-style food in that part of Georgia.

“Good food and quick service...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

It is a small restaurant that is in an old church with stained glass. I eat there at least every other week and get the veggie plate every time I go. It has 10 veggies on it and a fresh "hunk" of cornbread. It's a local spot that is only open for lunch and is always busy but very worth the wait.
