Let me start by saying the food was good. If that's all that matters to you, you'll do just fine. It was the first place we found upon our arrival to Jekyll Island. It was right on the beach. We walked around back to the entrance, and there is nothing that lets you know you're in the right place. Including the pregnant, bored "hostess" who rolled her eyes and said "Yeah" when I asked if this was the restaurant, "Yeah" when I asked if they were open, and "Yeah" when I asked if they could seat 4 people. We were brought into a boring room with brown panelling and windows facing the ocean. The windows were running with water from condensation so there was no view, and the room was haphazardly decorated for Halloween which fought the nautical theme they were going for. My mother and I finished our meals, and the busboy tried to take our plates although our dining companions were not finished and were sharing tastes of their meals with us. We told him we wished to keep our plates a little longer, but when we weren't looking or were engrossed in conversation, the waitress managed to scoop the plates away, even though I had just been given french fries and had just placed a fresh dollop of ketchup on it. Upon later reading in the paper, it was noted that this restaurant is slated for demolition which is why it looks and is so dumpy.
