My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel and it was a wonderful weekend. The hotel is beautiful with all the charm of a bygone era. The grounds are extraordinary and just roaming the grounds will lower blood pressure. The staff is very professional and gracious. The food is wonderful and prices are comparable to hotels of similar ranking. Our room was large with a private enclosed sun porch and in the main building. The rate for the room was moderate and I will swap a $6 a day fee to be on the Island as opposed to the $30 or higher per day parking fee at hotels in major metro areas.
This getaway weekend was one of the best and we will most certainly return.
