“Not fresh, not friendly.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012 via mobile

Food seemed stale and seafood definitely not fresh. I think the shrimp were frozen and our sides were definitely out of a can. The waitress talked about her issues with her children's father not paying child support and all the battles she's had since they were never married. Manager seemed clueless and did not stop by our table to check on anything. Other lovely restaurants on the island. Don't waste your time here.

“A fun, local experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Agree with other reviews--unpretentious, local restaurant. The food is good (not great) local fare. And how can you beat a $10 bottle of wine! Especially when by the glass it is $6!! What made our experience was our waitress, Brandy. She is a local, very knowledgable and right on with her menu recs. She was a hoot! We had a fun time with her and the gentlemen who brought our meals to the table. They made the experience. I would definitely go back.

“Great Stuff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Always eat here when we visit Jekyll Island...unpretentious, great on the wallet and only $10 for a bottle of wine with dinner (and take home if you can't finish it!)....we've tried the meat loaf, shrimp & grits, pork tenderloin, chicken tenders and fish and have never been disappointed...went elsewhere on the island on a second night and wished we had gone back to Driftwood. We highly recommend this place!

“Go for the crab cake”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Nice seeting sometimes even outside and friendly good service.
Great is the offer of an entree-accompanying wine - the bottle for 10 USD ( a good choice available)
The shrimp and grits were good but could be better seasoned. We had better ones before. (go to Savannah Cotton Exchange Tavern for really good Shrimp and Grits).
Delicious (and recommended by the waitress) was the crab cake. You felt, this is the meal where they put some passion in.
