I booked here because my husband wanted to be on the beach rather than at the Jekyll Island club (where I wanted to go). Like other reviewers said it is dated. My room was clean but the decor was very old. The couch looked like it dated back to the 70's along with the carpeting. The towels were so weird because I noticed they were not absorbent.
I did have a suite on the second floor which was very roomy. The front desk people (Muretta and Nikki) were very nice and helpful.
The breakfast was decent for a free breakfast. There were waffles, cereal, bagels, juices, bananas, oranges etc. The breakfast room was on the second floor and had a terrific view of the beach. The breakfast room was very spacious, unlike some I've been at where it feels like you are fighting to get food.
I was glad we were there for only one night.
