This hotel does not even deserve one star. Many of the hotels on Jekyll Island are old, but the Days Inn is not only old, it is scary. The building looks as though it was constructed in the 1950's and not one rennovation has been made. The beds were hard as rocks. The ceiling was made of this weird white straw material and was discolored by years of when the hotel allowed smoking. There were dents and holes in the walls. The carpet was extremely worn and filthy. Thank goodness we traveled with our own sheets and towels! I don't think I could have slept there otherwise. If we had only paid $40 per night I wouldn't feel so compelled to complain, but the fact was we paid over $100 per night and the place was BY FAR THE WORST hotel I have ever stayed in or seen in my life. The place needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt- it's in awful condition.
