We ate there tonight and I felt nauseated after the first few bites. Here's the atmosphere: The tables are all cheap with hard wooden chairs. I have a bad back so just for that reason wouldn't go back cause it was uncomfortable. First they bring you nice, fresh rolls (the only good thing) but crowded onto one little saucer for cups (with the little hole in the middle - hit us both as tacky) and didn't bother to give us a plate for them. (I had to use my napkin to place my roll on). The building itself is nice. The tables are cheap and have a tacky plastic wipe-off type tablecloth. The utensils were a dull tin. Everything about the place other than the building itself was cheapy. Just not really "nice." Not sure why it gets the ratings it does just for that reason although could understand if it had good food.
For the food - I requested green luttuce only - no iceberg. (I always ask...good restaurants use real luttuce in my opinion. She'd told me they use baby greens with iceberg but would make mine specially). She brought them and they were literally DROWNED in dressing, were wilted and browning and very sparse especially for the size of plate it comes on. My husband claims his Thousand Island was runny. My dressing was ok but too thick. (Honey mustard). I've never done this before, but I asked for a new salad cause I couldn't even eat it. A different and I have to say, gracious, waitress readily replaced it but did exact same thing. I had to get specific...dressing on the side and GREEN lettuce please. Finally they got it right the 3rd salad. The main dish was a greek dish which was basically meat balls with ground beef and ground lamb. It tasted ok but made me nauseated and my husband is now literally throwing it up. (Literally - he's sick from it). I tried to be nice after being demanding about the salad, but it was very low class for the price. Our dish was $13.99 and I feel like it was a total waste of money. In fact, I'd like my money back. That is NOT inexpensive yet the meal was lousy. I expected something nice for that price... I do NOT recommend. May depend on what you get but it has literally left a bad taste in my mouth. I can't say enough bad about this place. The waitresses were nice enough but didn't seem like they knew what they were doing, either....at least not ours. I wasn't mean and don't wish anyone there bad will, but they had a lot of nerve charging what they did for what you get. The owners ought to class it up or at LEAST train their staff and take what we got off the menu. It literally made me want to vomit and did make my husband vomit.
