“Better than home, really....”

I have to say the Heron Cove gives you the satisfying feeling that you're barging in on the relatives who actually like you.....and I promise you, you'll like them. That alone should be reason enough to make your reservations. The rooms are spacious and homey (in a good way.) The breakfasts are spectacular! Fresh food, locally sourced. I stayed in the suite above the garage and slept like that log everyone references, surrounded by sounds only the woods can make. When in Gainesville, this is where you belong!

I chose this beautiful B&B to host my GA family reunion after staying there two previous times. It is in a beautiful, quiet location on Lake Lanier. The hospitality extended by owners C and D make me feel like I'm coming home. Comfortable rooms with 5-star hotel amenities. Breakfasts of fresh, farm to market local products. Great value!

We have always enjoyed every moment of our stays at Heron Cove when traveling through the Gainesville area. It is always a tranquil and relaxing stay, spotlessly clean and the hostesses are most welcoming. They have treated us like family since our first visit!!

Heron Cove Guest House was a wonderful place to stay during our time in Gainesville. The room we stayed in was warm and cozy and made us feel like we were home. The suite we stayed in was exceptional! My husband and I enjoyed the Sauna bath after a relaxing shower each night. Tucked away in a nice wooded area, we would occasionally walk out to lake linear (which is located in the back yard) for a nice view.
Each morning we woke up we didn't have to worry about breakfast thanks to Carolyne and Dee Dee (The Innkeepers). Both of them would cook up a storm and make sure our stomachs were full for a nice start to our day. Carolyne and Dee Dee made our stay over the top with their friendly hospitality . I have to say, that this place is one heck of a place to stay if your in the area. I would highly recommend it.

This was our third year staying in this B&B as we attend the annual One Marriage Conference at Free Chapel Worship Center in Gainesville. We have stayed in all 3 of the suites. They are all very cozy and each with a different theme. The newest being the Loft Suite is our favorite. We have made our reservation for next year to stay here again. The hospitality is phenominal not to mention the yummy food. It is so relaxing because Dee Dee and Carolyne will make sure that you are treated like family. I would highly recommend your stay if you are in the area.

My husband and I needed to be in Gainesville GA for the Southeastern Regional Rowing Event this past May. After checking out several of the chain hotels...which were all booked....I lucked into finding a room at the Heron Cove Guest House - thanks to Trip Advisor as I would NOT have known about this gem of a place without your site! It could not have been more perfect for our needs. The guest house rents out two ground floor suites that are spacious, spotless and cozy! So we rented one side and our friends rented the other. The units have small refrigerators and coffee makers. Ours even had a Swedish Sauna Bath. The guest house was literally minutes away from the Lake Lanier Rowing Center......and the innkeepers Dee Dee and Carolyne could not have been more accommodating. Each morning they checked in with us to see what our race schedule was and then served us a fabulous breakfast based on our timeline! Fresh fruit, yummy grits, eggs, bacon...and plentiful coffee helped fuel our tanks for a day of cheering on our team. The guest house sits in a lush thicket of trees with a view of the lake. You can walk to the water's edge and we even kept our small Boston Whaler at their dock so we could scoot back and forth from the guest house to the race venue ....no need for looking for a parking space!!!! In the evening, we enjoyed sitting outside on the patio for "happy hour"--- which turned into several happy HOURS! Thanks Dee Dee and Carolyne - we'll see you same time next year (seriously!)

Room Tip: Only 2 units so book early!
