We have just come back from our 4 night stay at Newell Lodge and can't wait to turn around and go back. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed and more, the little extras like, first aid box, washing up liquid, needles and thread, etc, all the small things you wished you remembered to pack and didn't. There are fire pits to use right next to the cottages and wood is supplied ready and waiting for the night time smores. The grounds were lovely and looked very pretty at night with the trees lit up, the use of a golf cart just made my youngest daughters time there a blast along with being able to fish whenever she wanted, Harvin went into town and got bait for her as well as raiding their kitchens for hot dogs for her to use, what more could she ask for. My oldest daughter and I went trail riding and had a fantastic time each time we rode, John and Ashley were wonderful guides and they have horses for every level of riding so give it a try if you haven't done so before. What can I say about Kay's cooking....wonderful....only negative is the weight I put on, it was very hard to say no, so I didn't. I really can't say enough about this family that own and run Newell Lodge, they are so so nice and nothing is too much trouble, they go above and beyond wherever possible. It really is home away from home but better.
