“OK, nothing special”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

food was ok, the building looks like an old fashion dinner. I have no desire to return here. The menue has several options, however I personally was not impressed with the place and as I remember the service was just ok.

“Breakfast for lunch”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Had a craving for some breakfast at lunch for a change. Sorry to say we were very disappointed in the quality of the food. Country gravy had little to no flavor. Eggs were runny. Service was good. The shake was very good. I may try them again at breakfast time just in case I got a grumpy lunch cook...

“Try a Big Breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

The breakfast at the Evans Diner is wonderful! It takes a little while from the time you order until your food is served so make sure you have more time to spend than if you were going to a fast food place. The diner is like a trip back in time but the building is not that old.

“BREAKFAST AT THE EVANS DINER: IMPROVEMENTS NOTED - WITH GRATITUDE!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012

In the past, the coffee had become undrinkable. I avoided the place because of it, and therefore I am happy to tell you that the quality of the Evans Diner coffee has improved. You won't think that you are in Starbucks, but the coffee is now good.

The breakfast food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the pricing is very reasonable. The service is very good, which means that your food is served hot and your coffee cup is promptly refilled.

For breakfast, the Evans, Georgia area has four restaurant chains (Cracker Barrel, Denny's, International House of Pancakes, and Waffle House) plus three independent restaurants (Evans Diner, Ruth's, and Sunrise Grill) from which to choose. All seven are within a twenty-minute drive from anywhere in Evans. The Diner is unique, and should definitely be on your list.

“Good value; medicore service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

The exterior and interior is styled like a 50s diner - but please don't compare this to the mega diners you see advertised on TV. This place is really small. If you are on a tight budget and not picky, suggest ordering the nightly special. It includes a hearty serving of meat, two sides and bread all for around $7.00. The night we went there were no customers upon our arrival and only one waitress - no cook in sight. After our order was taken another waitress and the cook showed up. Unfortunately for us, after taking our order our waitress abandoned us for a large party that came in. Our meals were not bad. My husband ordered the nightly special which just happened to be meatloaf. He cleaned his plate. I ordered a traditional patty melt which was tasty; the fries were not the best. The milkshakes (served when our food arrived --frown--) were very tasty. Overall not a bad meal, didn't like our waitress, and will probably not return. Just not our cup of tea.
