“My husband's favorite pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

I highly recommend the Stromboli or Calzones - they are delicious!! I think the pizza is best ordered by the slice since it gets heated a little more and the crust gets crispier. We also like to order the pizza to go and heat it in the oven at home to give the thin crust a little more crunch. For a large group going out, order the biggest pizza - it is gigantic!

“Food was fine, service horrible”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

The pizza and garlic knots were good, nothing special, but good. The service was absolutely the awful. We had to wait several minutes for a hostess to seat us, then when we said we wanted to sit outside, she handed us menus and said to sit wherever we wanted. It then took almost 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order, except, before we could give it, she said she had to go take care of another table and would be right back. After handing food, that another server had brought out to the people at the other table, she went back inside. We waited another 5 minutes or so before another waitress stopped and asked if we had been waited on, when we said someone stopped by but didn't take our order, she left to go find out what was going on. FINALLY, a waitress came and took our order.

But, the long waits didn't end there. Our appetizer came out at a reasonable time, but the pizza took a very long time to come out. Drink refills were also horribly slow and when our kids wanted cookies (we ordered 2 orders), it took them over 5 minutes to bring out the first order and another 4 for the second order. Now, these are not warmed or anything special, just regular cookies....no idea what took so long. From the time we walked in til the time we got our bill and paid, it was 2 hours! Ridiculous for a pizza place.

We will return again for the beer selection, but will sit at the bar. No way we'd go through that again just for their pizza that is nothing special.

“Cheap and good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

You can buy large pizza slices, very inexpensive, but still very good. Nice atmosphere. Excellent place for beer and pizza!

“great pizza.....amazing beer selection!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The pizzas are delicious--thin, and for some reason we feel like the 20" tastes better than the smaller ones!! Doesn't really make sense, but that's our thought! (who doesn't want leftovers, anyway?) Always enjoy a big Greek salad before the pizza and always try new and different beers! Mecca of microbrews..... BUT....it is called the Pizza Joint for a reason!! Pizza tops the list over any other entrees.

“Average Pizza Joint”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Place is just like the name. Pizza is just like Pizza Hut. Decent bar. Ok service. Why waste your time here when you can go to Mellow Mushroom just down the road?
