We have eaten at Fatz many times since the restaurant opened. We have found the food quality inconsistent. A few average to good experiences and several poor experiences. The last visit was not a positive experience. While the price point was nice, $2.99, I was naively not expecting a $1.00 portion of K... mac and cheese. I was expecting an appropriate home cooked mac and cheese. We were asked to sit in the bar. The bartender was juggling the bar and the tables. However, the food runner never delivered a portion of our order. When the bartender packed up the food we did not originally received, we were told we received a double portion because of the inconvenience. I should have examined what we received prior to leaving. However, I did not. I was disappointed to say the least. The chili was greasy and watery looking. The double portion was 8 ounces. I would be surprised if the portion served with the meal was only 4 ounces.
I did contact the company. I received a nice form letter with a small gift certificate. However, after paying $40 plus tip for a mediocre experience, I don't know if we will return. There are several other restaurants in the Evans area at which we have had a better dinning experience.
