The only time we could visit the park was November, so we went to the Fireworks night. I actually normally hate fireworks - but this display, beautifully and cleverly telling the story of Alton Towers through the ages was the most incredible thing I have EVER seen. So moving, clever and spell-bounding, had us speechless!
The longest queue all day we encountered was about 20mins for the 4-D ride - everything else we practically walked on, making the higher entrance fee for the fireworks night more than worth it (if you're going on a day like that, make the most of it and go during the day when there are no queues).
Fantastic rides and friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to help us when they could sense we were lost! They didn't wait for us to approach them - they were happy to approach us to help. Very impressive service.
The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the cable car (Sky Ride).....stopped a few times when we were on it and swung quite violently :/ not fun!! pretty scary and it's suppose to be relaxing!
Other than this minor point, it was the perfect day. Thank you Alton Towers and hopefully see you again soon!!
