Me and my girlfriend planned a trip to Alton Towers theme park (see my review!) and we came across Trough Ivy House on the internet and it was the closest B&B to the theme park and also reasonably priced! We stayed 1 night on 23/7/12, we got to the B&B at roughly 8:30 in the morning even though we knew check-in wasn't until 4 o'clock in the afternoon to be greeted by the manager with a smile on his face and he allowed us to park our car in their car park to save on the car park fee at Alton Towers (£6!!!) even though we wasn't going to be checking in till after 4.We had around half an hour to an hour to wait until we were going to walk over to the theme park and it was a nice day so we went to sit in the nice garden out the front of the b&b. We got asked if we would like any refreshments by the manager too which was very nice so we sat in the garden drinking nice cold orange juice and off we went to the theme park. We came back around 5 to be shown to our room which was a very good size with a tv, double bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a very good size bathroom with a shower. I think this b&b is well worth the money and if you are visiting Alton Towers you should definitely stay here over night.
