We had reservations at 8:00 for a party of 7 for some family in town. We picked Capital Grille because we wanted a great meal but did not want to drive to Buckhead. My wife and I arrived at 7:15 and upon arriving, passed a couple in the valet who were leaving with two kids in tow and casually dressed.
Upon entering we were greeted and sat at the bar in a upscale environment, yet laid back. The average dress was jeans with collard shirts. As time passed our family arrived and we proceeded to have a round of drinks. The bartenders were busy, yet we were acknowledged and after some small wait were served, despite a variety of drink orders. We only encountered a little sass when one of the party ordered something they had to get in the back room, the bartender was a little rude about it, but this seems common when they have to leave their stations in my experience.
Once seated, immediately upon request, we had excellent service. The food was great, server was nice and quick. We were offered a bottle of Silver Oak at a great price due a special being offered, we took it (some lunch burger special that upped the Silver Oak being purchased) In any case is was better than what we ordered originally at a lower price. All in all I can say the place is much more enjoyable than the Buckhead location, with less business types, more family and the same food.
I thought it was better than many local steakhouses in Buckhead like Bones, Capital, Chops because it was closer and more local. I would go back. PS, none of the Capital Grille's are cheap, our bill was $700 for 7 people.
