“Helpful Staff and Nice Location!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2011

We stayed here for a business conference and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and spacious. Over all this place was beautiful and spacious! It is right in the heart of Duluth's many restaurants. Kudos to the catering company, the staff and the lively Buttons Bar downstairs! I only have a few things that could be improved: The bathroom door tended to 'stick' to the door frame after a shower, even with the exhaust fan running, We could hear the people talking next door clear as day, and when we recieved our room service breakfast food, it was cold. And lastly, there was no free internet! Other than those few minor things, we had a wonderful time and would stay there again!

Stayed for 4 weeks in this hotel.
It is a very busy hotel especially on weekends when they seem to host weddings, party's etc...
Rooms are nice without being spectacular.
They had recently done a renovation and the bathrooms were fitted with really good fixtures.
Beds were decent as well.
As like alot of US hotels there were no fridges in the rooms but ice machines were available on all floors.
As with most Marriotts, they have laundry facilities, for us who refuse to pay through the nose to get a pair of jocks cleaned. Cost was 1.25 for the machine and 1.25 for the dryer.
Car park gets full on weekends so if you are there get one early. Plenty of eating placed within walking distance (even though walking seems taboo in the US).
Staff generally really good. No room safe though, but safe deposit boxes available.

Room Tip: Dont get room next to vending machines as i imagime they would be noisy.

The service at this hotel makes it stand out..especially the front desk staff who go out of their way to make things comfortable. Everything was clean and housekeeping was top notch. It's in an area with a lot of restaurant options.

Originally booked the Comfort Suites Hotel right next door and was shock by that location's inside appearance. It was horrible and unlike any other Comfort Suites we stayed in during past trips. We immediately checked out and booked into the Marriott Gwinnett. Pretty clean throughout the hotel. The rooms were nice and the surround areas of the hotel were as well. I would recommend this Marriott to anyone looking for a nice CLEAN place to lay their heads. Parking was also free. The pool, spa, and workout areas were all good. The only complaint I had was "no free wifi internet".

I had to go at Atlanta for a training at Cisco (scientific atlanta). The hotel is very well located and there is a lot of choice for restaurant around, but take your car to go out instead of take a walk. I think it takes something like 10 minutes to cross the street to go to the restaurant on the other side of Pleasant Hill Road because we had to cross 3 times the lights because it's not allowed to cross the Pleasant Hill Road directly, so take your car!
The other things is I didn't get the Cisco rate because I wasn't a employee of Cisco and this hotel was on the recommended list with the Cisco rate.

My family and I had the most wonderful Father's Day weekend at the Marriott. Our rooms were great and room service was very quick. We enjoyed the pool and just had the best time. Thank you to the entire staff at the Marriott for helping to make our weekend so special.

I travel alot for my job and have traning classes all over th US and this hotel knows how to take care of, not only me but also my students. Stefan as a fantastic Sales Manager/Facilitator. His team Micheal and Paula were on top of things. Mario and Jarimo(sp?) took care of all the lunches and waiting on th reps. Daisy and robert at the front desk were able to help all my reps with their questions. Buttons restaurant has a great staff from Eric the bartender and Chasity the the Waitress were always fun to be around.

Great job to all that i forgot to name. I WILL be back
