I got this hotel through Priceline, otherwise I would not have stayed here. I had heard from people it was not very good. Well most the reviews have touched on my complaints. The AC was hardly working - staying on 5th floor. The wireless connection worked outside my room and lobby but hit or miss in room. Staff was fantastic and tried to accomodate both these problems. Offered to compensate but realized I had already paid....so probably just log this up as one hotel I'll never stay at again. Location great - walkable to all my favorite places in Decatur. Have to say I would not recommend.

I stayed here for business and really liked the small town location. The hotel was in walking distance to many shops and places to eat. The hotel itself was average to slightly above average. The rooms were good size but I felt in need of some updating. They do offer a business center with one computer. You do have to pay for parking which I feel should be included with your room. Staff was good and my experience was good.

Being a local and working near this hotel, I park in this hotel's parking daily. The hotel itself is okay, and the staff pretty friendly, but a warning to those visitors staying here about the maintenance of the parking garage. Summers in Atlanta are very hot, and this year is a doozy. This hotel must have had some sewage leakage or something because there is some horribly nasty, nasty odor that is on the bottom level (P3) of the parking deck, next to the elevators. It is so bad that it wafts up three floors. It is bad enough that I wanted to vomit. It permeates the stairs and the elevator, so you must go through it to get to the hotel. I spoke to the guy at the front desk and he nodded knowingly and then confirmed that they knew of the issue, but from his response, it did not look like they were going to, or could, fix it anytime soon. This smell has been there for weeks!

I booked this hotel through Priceline. I would never have stay there otherwise and it was such a pleasant surprise! The service was excellent and you can't beat the accomodations for the money. We normally stay in Buckhead or Midtown Atlanta but I would stay here anytime! It was the nicest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at (I think it was an Embassy Suites in its former life). Decatur was wonderful too. It was like staying in a small town but it was just 10 minutes away from Atlanta.

Restaurant recommendations:
1. Athens Pizza off Clairmont. It's more than pizza (we had the best lasanga ever!).
2. Taco & Wings (sounds strange but it's good). There are also quite a few nice restaurants in downtown Decatur.
