“Nice Summer camp”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Really a 3.5 but not a 4. If we were 15 years old this place would ROCK LOL. My girlfriend and stayed 16-17 Aug. This place is really set up for summer camp for church groups and boy scouts. Our cabin was exactly what was advertised. But again, really set up for large groups with young children. Staff was very nice. They brought us firewood and starter.

Rafting was a solid 5. We have rafted a few other places and we believe the guide makes the trip. Ask for Stan the Man! He was funny and really knew what he was doing. We had a blast!. If we were to go back we would stay at a place better suited for Adults but would come back to WWE just to raft with Stan.

If you are a large group with lot of screaming teenagers, this place is for you!

“The conditions of the horses is deplorable.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

They have about 25 horses for horseback riding. The horses have to live in manure up to their knees. The stable staff should stop being lazy and clean it up. It is inhumane
The customers could get sick from the conditions at the barn too! Because of all the manure the flys are awful. Discussing this situation with the owner is useless. He doesn't care about the horses.

“Rafting and Horseback riding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

I rate it at 4 1/2 but that is not an option to pick. My wife and I booked a two night cabin stay, white water rafting on the Ocoee river and horseback riding for two from their camp in Copperhill, TN. Whitewater Express representatives were very courteous and professional in making sure we had all required information, forms, and directions to the camp prior to us leaving on vacation. Nice to have the directions as a backup but our GPS found the address easily. The road into the camp was a little rough but navigable even in our Camry. Our cabin was clean and spacious with room for eight and was exactly as described in the brochure they provided. Cabin had a flat screen television but it was strictly for watching DVDs (no reception) but we knew this in advance. Lots of trails for hiking and a pond for swimming. Lots of hills so be ready to use your leg muscles. You can do your own cooking on an outside fire in front of your cabin or in the microwave or there is a kitchen onsite opened three times a day. On site staff were very friendly and helpful. The rafting takes about an hour in the water and was a blast. Our guide Mark was very personable. First time for us. I'm sixty and my wife is fifty so I would say almost anyone can do it. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed the horseback riding but I'm quite a bit heavier than her and found it a little rough going in the nether regions but otherwise it was still a good experience. We have T-Mobile and had no cell reception although Verizon customers did. We did not stay in the cabin the second night because of upcoming inclement weather and we had a 9 hour drive. Also this suburb boy was having a little withdrawal with no TV or air conditioning. Would definitely recommend for those people wanting to do something a little different.
