My 29 year old daughter and I stayed at the Hampton next door to the Kani House. I have eaten sushi there many times and it was excellent but I have never done the hibachi. We got there at 8 PM on a Sunday and I asked if they were still doing the hibachi. They said yes. Wrong. We were hustled throughout the meal. Like sushi, soup and salad all arriving at the same time. The usual "hibachi" performance was perfunctory and sad. While there is nothing wrong with a "good ol' Georgia boy" trying to cook hibachi, he should at least try. They close at 9 PM on Sunday and at 8:58 PM they basically asked us to leave.
Do the sushi. It is great. But only consider the hibachi if the cook has plenty of time to do it properly. $110 including tip for 2. Way too much for half an effort.
