The service was excellent, the owners were more than accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, one of the best we've ever had, featuring roasted potatoes and brie quiche although the menu varies. The pool was nestled away from the house and has its own waterfall all from a natural spring. A hot tub is available on a large roofed wooden deck. The room was cozy and the bed comfortable. It was only one night but I don't think we'll be forgetting it any time soon. If we're in the area again, we won't forget about this for a great romantic night.

My daughter, 13, and I went to Lily Creek Lodge, and our stay wasn't what it was suspected for us. For starters, the parking lot was fairly small (fits approximately 10-13 cars). Once we entered the lodge, the room smelled like a smoker. But there was a very nice lady who greeted us, and checked us in. So I am not complaining about the great service. At the lodge, we booked the "Antartica" room. We liked the room, except the door couldn't completely close. So we switched to the "Moon Glow". The room was fairly nice. The only complaint about our room was the size of the tv. It's probably about a 12 inch. So you couldn't really see the tv screen from the bed that well. We went to the pool and it was extremely cold. There was such a pretty waterfall. We didn't end up going in the pool, so we played tic-tac-to, which they provide at the lodge. Also, the pool wasn't that clean, even being in July (during the summer). There were only 4 other rooms that were booked that night (Saturday). The room cost 130ish, and I think it should only be 80.

Overall I give the Lily Creek Lodge 2 1/2 stars.

The Lily Creek Lodge is beautiful and very relaxing. The pool is amazing (but might be cold-the water was about 78 degrees in July). We survived the initial shock :) and enjoyed several relaxing swims in the beautiful wooded setting. The hot tub was great too.
We stayed in the Secret Garden room and the bed was large and very comfy. There was a large quiet deck right off our room. There are several other quiet spots (hammock, tree house, benches) to enjoy. The main gathering room had a large fireplace and was very pretty.
Dahlonega is a cool little town with lots of good restaurants. Wolf Mountain Winery is close by - a definite for an amazing lunch or dinner out on the deck.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this lodge for your trip.

My wife and I came here to stay after our wedding at Blackstock Winery. I have not received warmer service from an older couple than from Don and Sharon. We felt like they knew us like family and were devoted to keeping us happy, even though we had stayed only one night. We loved the atmosphere and all the themed rooms, and the pool and hot tub area are very nice. We are looking forward to coming back this winter for another homey atmosphere.

I wanted to take this opportunity to recommend Lily Creek Lodge. My boyfriend and I visited the lodge recently and had a wonderful time. Our experience there was all that we expected and more. The B&B was just as depicted in their website photographs. Each room was decorated in a unique theme. We stayed in the Italian themed room which was very nice. The rooms were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I have read that some people weren’t impressed with the small bathrooms and creaky floors…but I didn’t mind at all. It’s a little older of a place and I think it just adds to the character. As for the breakfasts, they were wonderful! You could either choose to eat at 8:30 or 9:30. I consider myself a pretty good cook and do it often. So, I’m not always impressed by what other people do. However, I was impressed on this occasion. Each morning we started off with a bowl of fruit, then two types of biscuits/muffins/breads…one choice always being her to die for cheese biscuits that are made fresh each morning, and finally a plate of usually some type of soufflé, quiche and either a casserole or grits. One morning she even made us some really great french toast. And…the grits had cheese in them and were the best I have ever had! She also always has her homemade granola sitting out for you to try every morning as well. All in all, I was very impressed with the food. We also tried the Corkscrew Café, the Oarhouse and the Back Porch Oyster Bar. We liked the first two the best….with the last being a little more casual and not quite as good. I had the smoked salmon, goat cheese and artichoke sandwich at Corkscrew which was great. I had the cheese-filled ravioli pasta in a crawfish parmesean cream sauce at the Oarhouse which was fantastic….and had a really good amount of crawfish, which I didn’t expect. My boyfriend had the prime rib at Oarhouse which was also fantastic. Anyway…back to the B&B…the hosts were very nice people in general. We had a lot of fun hanging out with them and some of the other guests on their deck in the evenings. Lots of laughs! Sharon is probably one of the nicest people you will meet and Don is terribly funny, very smart and just a lot of fun to hang out with. So…if you’re looking for a great, laid back time, fantastic food and great woodsy scenery…Lily Creek Lodge is the place to stay! Happy travels! 
