We hosted our wedding at Wolf Mountain in July and everything was excellent. The in-law's friends are still talking about that night! (and they are the hard to impress country club crowd)

Lindsey and Linda were wonderful in helping us plan our menu and wine selections, as well as set up the lodge for our reception. They did make some major renovations while they were closed the winter before my wedding and that concerned me a little, but everything turned out beautifully.

The two wines I've tried from here are indeed excellent--Plenitude and Seyval Demi-Sec. And the location is absolutely gorgeous. It bothered me, however, that they charge $10 per person for a tasting. I'm used to free tastings--since the whole idea of the tasting is to allow you to decide which wines you'd like to buy. In fact, in the town of Dahlonega, there is a tasting room for Habersham winery which does free tastings, and one from Wolf Mountain a block away that charges $10. We skipped the Wolf Mountain tasting, and ended up buying twice as much from Habersham! If you don't mind the tasting fee, however, you'll certainly enjoy a trip to this winery.

The wines are surprisingly excellent, especially Plentitude (White) and Instinct (Red). The setting is lovely and the service is always very nice. Our favorite Sunday brunch is during July when they do their Tuscany Brunch. The tiramisu trifle is the BEST tiramisu we've had in the states.

It makes for a very nice experience albeit quite expensive.

The views from the mountain top are majestic. Each view being slightly different. The winery itself is extremely well-maintained. Relax and loose track of time, it's a great way to spend a few hours or the day.
