“Lovely people, delicious breakfasts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful time at this bed and breakfast. From the warm reception with home-made cookies to the lively conversations at breakfast over lovingly prepared meals, the best part of visiting Dahnolega was staying here! The location was great, as was the service and the rooms.

A+++

Side note: LGBT friendly!!!

Mary Beth and Fred made our girls weekend fabulously fun and memorable. They were lovely, informative, helpful and the breakfasts were worthy of the Food Networks delight....
We had home made cookies every nite and our stay was comfortable and charming. Thank You for sharing your home with us....

The uniqueness of the yurt propelled us to our stay, and we were so delighted with that adventure and much more! The innkeepers put a lot of love and thought into this venture, and we enjoyed learning about the processes that brought the yurts to fruition! The vegetarian breakfast was so delicious! My husband was unaware prior to the stay that I chose this B&B for that reason as well -- that you can eat healthy without compromising taste! Kudos to Chef Mary Beth, as well as her husband Fred who patiently sat and answered all of our trivia questions about Dahlonega and the surrounding areas!

Looking to surprise my wife on her 40th birthday, I booked a yurt for a fall weekend. It was so quiet and peaceful we didn't want to leave. The breakfast and the company provided by Mary Beth and Fred was unmatched (particularly the blueberry stuffed french toast). The permaculture tour of the grounds by Fred is highly recommended for anyone interested in sustainability, which we are. Our stay was both relaxing and inspiring, giving us lots of ideas for things we could do in our garden or on our house to lessen our footprint. We'll be back.

Room Tip: The yurt was perfect in October and would probably be great through the winter by dropping the flaps...

For my husband's birthday, we stayed in one of the Yurts at Cedar House Inn & Yurts. I was skeptical because I am not a camper. I was pleasantly surprised. This was nothing like camping. The Yurt is very comfortable with a good queen size bed, lots of room, great lighting, and even rugs on the floor! We had rain the night we stayed, so it sounded like rain on a tent roof. Fred and Mary Beth were so welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with them very much. Mary Beth made a killer breakfast and Fred directed us to all the best places in Dahlonega. This was our first experience at a B&B and we will be doing it again!

From the initial website impression, to our first impression of the B&B and its owners, we loved everything about our "get away from civilization" vacation. Perfect setting to enjoy peace and quiet away from the everyday stresses of life. Cozy room, phenomenal breakfast menu and unending options to explore wine country, mountains and waterfalls, local towns and shops, or simply relaxing at the B&B. Fred and Mary Beth were gracious, welcoming and super friendly. Their knowledge of the surrounding areas allowed us to make the most of the short time we had to visit. We left there feeling like we had known them for years! I think I took more pictures of Mary Beth's breakfast dishes than of anything else we did! We will definitely visit again!

I decided to get away for the weekend with a friend and from the first phone call until the time we left the hostesses could not have been more gracious. They sent us to the best restaurants, gave us personal tips on the wineries and made us feel completely at home.

The food was exquisite and blew us out of the water. It may have been the best meals of the trip! I will definitely tell my friends and hope to make it back.

If you are looking for a quaint and special get away- look no further. Mary Beth and Fred have paid special attention to the details and really know what they are doing!
