We had a wonderful stay at Cedar House Inn in Dahlonega. We were there to attend a wedding at the nearby Wolf Mountain Winery. It was very convenient to stay there and the hosts, Fred and Mary Beth were most accomodating. From the yummy chocolate chip cookies and hot tea when we arrived, to the comfortable, well-appointed bedroom, to the absolutely delicious breakfast the next morning, our stay was great. We will definitely return. We may even be brave enough to stay in one of their yurts!
My partner and I stayed in one of the yurts over a weekend. We had a wonderful time - the yurt was very comfortable and a nice break away from the typical B&B type room. The breakfast each morning was the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a B&B - just wonderful. MaryBeth and Fred were very friendly, and we had great talks with them. We can't wait for our next visit! My 3rd trip to Dahlonega in the past 3 years, and my 3rd stay in a yurt. The yurts are a lot of fun and so much more luxurious than I had envisioned. The bathrooms are the cleanest I think I've ever seen, and Mary Beth cooks a terrific breakfast. She'll even get up and feed a crew of hungry cyclists at 6AM. Both Fred and Mary Beth make you feel like family. They graciously do all sorts of things to make your stay memorable...book your dinner reservation, replace lost toothpaste, share a bottle of wine. I can't wait for my next visit!

This was our second (but definitely not our last) stay in the yurt at Cedar House Inn. Coming back here is like visiting old friends. Fred and Mary Beth are gracious, unpretentious and down to earth. The yurts are private, quaint and cozy. The scenery is beautiful and the breakfasts are awesome. Staying at Cedar House is worth the trip itself but throw in the quaint little town of Dahlonega and the beautiful scenery of the Appalachians and you’ve got a five star vacation. I would recommend this eco friendly B&B to anyone who loves the outdoors and values our environment.

We booked a room at the Cedar House to get away for my birthday, and it was the perfect relaxing setting. Just what we needed. It's so easy to get to from Atlanta, and so close to many outdoor activities in the north Georgia mountains. The inn and hosts make every effort to conserve resources, and we loved that. I also loved that being a vegetarian did not make me odd man out. The meals accommodated my needs! How refreshing! The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. We loved our stay with Fred and Mary Beth (and Stu the dog!) and we will definitely go back.
