First I would like to say that our experience was incredible as well as the owner (dave)and the employees of the horse stable (Josh and Brandi). It was truly an awesome experience that every animal or nature lover should try. We rode horses for 4 days (was only suppose to be one day) and loved it. We also went on a wagon trail ride to a beautiful hidden place called the river house. We ate, played horse shoes, met some really nice people, and just escaped from the realities of life. The employees were fantastic and very knowledgeable about horses and how to make people feel comfortable. I truly beleive this could be a top knotch resort but like everything else you need money. I would love to see some money poored into the Corral to bring it up to speed as far as newer, more modern and efficient equipment and barn and better cover for the horses when not on rides. It think it would also help with a professional appearance if they all wore the same uniform/shirt advertising the Corral. The horses are very well trained and mannered even for beginners like us. if you get the chance you need to check out the resort as well. Once again it is pretty old school, not a lot of frills but the cabins are cozy and romantic, the food is incredible and the friendly, personal service is second to none. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, and personal touch vacation without the bells and whistles this is the place. Forrest Hills resort and conference center. We also went into the square of Dahlonega and that was also a very nice town to visit with a lot of history behind it.
