“Too thin crust”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2013

The inside is very nice not much of a change from the last place there ...we were happy when we heard Bolgheri was moving into that space ....we heard they were the owners of another restaurant we enjoy...but when we had the thin crust pizza my 14 year old son could have eaten the entire pizza ...TOO THIN ...if they made the pizza just a kittle thicker it would be amazing ....and would see more people returning for the cost not worth it for the cracker crust we had...would go back if they made the pie just a little thicker

“Pretty good but not outstanding”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Had dinner at Bolgheri last evening. Arrived around 7pm and we were seated promptly in a comfortable booth in the front section of the restaurant. Took a few minutes for our server to appear so we had plenty of time to peruse the menu. They had a modest selection of wines by the glass but a larger selection if you wanted a whole bottle (I didn't). The server brought a basket with four small slices of warm bread and what we thought might be some type of garlic spread, but turned out to be hummus. Not bad, but not much flavor. The antipasto appetizer was large enough for the two of us to share and included 2 cheeses, salami, pepperoni, and prosciutto, along with 2 more pieces of bread, a few greens with tomatoes and olives in dressing.

My husband was not really impressed by his spaghetti dinner. It was a medium sized serving topped by 3 meatballs that he described as "mushy." He didn't think the spaghetti sauce was particularly flavorful either.

On the other hand, my lasagne dinner was delicious! Cooked and served in an individual crock bowl, it was a nice blend of sauce, meat, cheese and pasta and I would definitely order it again.

Service was ok, not exceptional. Our glasses were completely empty before our server came back to check to see if we needed anything. Curious because the restaurant was not even 1/4 full.

We will go back sometime to try the pizza and are happy to have another restaurant option in the area. It is hard to find the restaurant. There is a sign on the road but you can't see the restaurant until you turn in and then you have to weave around the parking lot to get there.

Although Bolgheri didn't knock our socks off, it was good enough that we will give it another try.

“A different spin on Italian cuisine”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The inside is very nice and the service was good. The food is a little pricey, but it is upscale. Our only complaint is the tuscan style seemed to be a bit more of a fire roasted or smoky flavored that the kids were not to fond of. Not bad food, just didn't suit our taste.

“Great thin crust pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Love their thin crust pizza, I had the funghi pizza. Place is in a new strip mall, with outdoor seating. They did a good job making it cozy, but still a modern feel. Service was very good.

“It was "okay" but not fantastic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Server was the best part of the meal. Informative and able to describe all the menu options. Our first visit so we wanted to try a few things before the movie. Pizza is very thin and I like that but the sauce overwhelms anything else they put on it so that was very disappointing. Servings are an okay size but nothing stellar compared to the prices. Wine is about the norm that you see anywhere. We left thinking it was just okay. Some discussion on if we'd give it a second chance. I think it's going to be tough for this one to succeed. In a location that's hard to find. They need something that makes it a real draw and we just didn't see that on our visit.
