“would definitely stay here again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2010

We have stayed at several different Best Western locations and have always found excellent service and clean, well kept facilities. If you are looking for an economical place to spend the night during your destination from Point A to Point B I definitely recommend Best Western. The location at Commerce lived up to the expected standards.

Great Experience!!!

We recently made a southern sojourn and stopped at the Best Western at exit 149 on I-85 in Commerce, Ga. The coupon in the travel book (available at the Ga., state line Welcome Station) helped steer us there.

We were very, very, happy that we chose this BW. The place was a little difficult to locate as the small street leading to it immediately off of the Interstate roadway was not easily seen as the setting sun was right in my eyes as I turned off from the hwy. Even though it was surrounded by 4 other places, I just could not see the sign –my fault.

We drove around in both directions still not finding it, finally using the phone number from the coupon book, I called and the mgr, Mr. Ron Patel, guided me to the place and we were glad that he did.

As soon as I entered the lobby, he greeted me. After driving 14 hours straight (some 900+ miles stopping only for rest rooms and gasoline) from Long Island NY, his polite style and warm approach, took away our angst. The room he suggested on the top floor, away from the elevator, was exactly what we needed.

The room was smoke free, large, airy, with a king size comfortable bed. We were also pleasantly surprised to find a small refrigerator, coffee maker, hair blower and free WiFi accessible anywhere on the premises. They also listed an outdoor pool and workout room. For breakfast in the morning, they had three kinds of juice, hot and cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, hot self-made waffles, fruit and more. Even though we had a coffee machine in our room, being able to get early morning hot perked coffee & take it back to the room while my wife was getting ready was an additional asset. All of this included at a price far below most of those places around us.

While there are a large number of motels in this area, this was the place for us! Close by was a Tanger Mall, a Wall-mart, and lots of local stores, as well as a number of restaurants addressing different dinning needs to choose from. Mr. Patel made several suggestions and they proved to be on target as well.

As an additional benefit, I have been looking to replace several of the western boots that I have. A few blocks away from the BW, was a very large Work & Western Boot store. They had one of the largest selections of Lucheses that I have seen (as well as other brands). Bottom line was I was also able to try on and pick up several (1st quality, not 2nds) soft, calve skin pairs of boots at very reasonable prices. Nice!!!!!!!

My husband and I decided to stay here after reading the good reviews. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only compliant I have is the bed was not too comfortable. We did not get a good night sleep due to the bed being uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay here again.

My family and I were traveling because we are a Gospel Group. The manager of this hotel is the most rudest man I have ever met. My wife received second and third degree burns on her arm due to the fact he is not making sure his coffee is not at a scalding level and when we reported it to the front desk they said oh there is a Wall mart up the street and showed not concern at all. Also a twelve hundred dollar sound board was damaged due to a water leak problem in his hotel room. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

We would like to report the facts as we know them about this complaint.

1. There was never anything reported to the manager during the 5 days of stay about a leak or a burn until check out.
2. The guest did not report any problem about a burn on his wife's arm during anytime breakfast was open. The GSR that worked morning shift talked to this guest about 11am and no burn was reported at anytime on her shift. The coffee maker was off by 10am. This coffee maker is temperature controlled by government standards and is in use by many hotels in the country.
3. The burn was reported at the time of checkout and the evening shift GSR who looked at the burn said it didn't look as if it happened on our property. The guest admitted using a cup bought from another store and was not using the cups we recommend using for the coffee. The guest was never told to go to walmart for burn cream.
4. The morning shift GSR had went to their room to change out their phone and the guest never reported a leak to her while she was in the room. The GSR didn't see any evidence of a leak while in the room. At the time of check out, the guest reported the leak after being in that room for 5 days. So the evening shift GSR and owner of hotel went to the room and could not find any evidence of a leak.

From the time of check in the guest was wanting compensation and we feel was trying to get a free week stay from the get go. We at the Best Western Commerce Inn strive to provide the best customer service and as you can see from the other reviews that we care about our guests and want them to feel like they are home away from home. Thank you.

Stayed at the Commerce Best Western based on previous TripAdvisor reviews. We weren't disappointed - a comfortable facility with a decent outdoor pool. Good size rooms, clean, quiet. Breakfast was quite adequate. All together a good choice, especially when seeking a place for sleep while traveling through the area or visiting. Not a resort, but not pretending to be either. Great for a "base of operations" or just a good night sleep.

This is one of the very few motels I have stayed in where the motel was actually as clean and well kept as the internet photos portrayed. We traveled in a group of 7 ranging in age from 10 to 73. Service was excellent~from the front desk to housekeeping. Rooms, lobby, breakfast area, and exterior were kept spotless. At each exterior door they have trash cans with ashtrays~trash never accumulated before being removed, ashtrays kept empty or near empty at all times. Breakfast items kept stocked (even when our not so early birds ate) and fresh. Rooms were very clean, well maintained, attractive, roomy and very comfortable. Beds and pillows were very nice. Staff was very helpful and quick to meet all requests. During our nine days away from home, this motel (out of four different motels) was the most affordable and the unanimous favorite amoung everyone in our group. The only 'con' (for lack of a better word) was the hours of the swimming pool. Pool closes at nine. Because of our schedule, the pool was usually closed by the time we returned and had time for a swim. Best Western was a great value, and for the price we were pleasantly surprised. The last time we were in commerce, ga we stayed at a neighboring motel, payed a few dollars less, but for the extra two bucks this is a no brainer. This is were we will stay on our next visit for sure.
