It was my first time traveling by myself, across country. I was visiting my boyfriend at his Army Basic Training graduation in September. I am under 25, so I couldn't rent a car. When I arrived by Groome Transportation, I checked in and was impressed. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. She helped me with everything. She recommended a great taxi service (Gold Star Taxi. Which, by the way, I used the whole time I was down there and they were very reliable and cheap) and gave me different restaurant recommendations.
Ft. Benning is close. I think it took about 10 minutes to get there. And it was about $10 to get there. BY THE WAY. Anyone taking a taxi to Ft. Benning! Taxi's are not allowed in Ft. Benning after 6pm. The soldiers are only allowed to be dropped off right inside the gate. So plan accordingly! One driver informed us of this, and we were very grateful because he would have been late, and in very serious trouble!
My room was very nice. It wasn't the best hotel room I've ever been in, but I've stayed in some pretty luxury hotels. Everything was clean, and everything worked! I don't have anything bad to say about my experience with the hotel and their employees.
Oh and the free continental breakfast was enjoyable! Everything you would expect. Very satisfied.
I would like to thank the Econo Lodge for a wonderful stay!
I was on the bottom floor, and I didn't have any problems with people above me being too loud.
