“What a Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2007

This hotel was excellent in every way possible. It well outshone other dearer properties encountered during a touring holiday in US.
We booked a non-smoking King with whirlpool. This turned out to be a modern 2 room suite with a huge whirlpool which was most relaxing after a days driving.
All staff encountered were most pleasant & welcoming.
If only other ICH properties could strive to reach even part of the standards set and maintained here.

Great hotel. Spacious rooms. People were extremely nice. AC did not work well so they moved us and discounted the rate.
Very convenient to Ft Benning but far enough away to be out of the run down section surrounding the post itself.

I've only been in the hotel about 10 minutes, but I HAD to write a review. As with the first reviewer, I stay in Holiday Inn Hotels several times a month. I usually look for newer Holiday Inn Hotels for the luxury but I often stay in Express Hotels because of there is so many of them.

This Holiday Inn Express is on par with the best new Holiday Inn Hotels. Other than not having a restaurant and bar you would think you are in one of the higher level hotels.

The hotel was solidly booked during my stay. I had to call directly and use my Platinum membership to get a guaranteed room. When I arrived the night clerk was very nice and gave me my usual upgrade to a suite.

This hotel is a great example for all future hotels in this class. I highly recommend this hotel.

The 27" LCD is wonderful, except the cable is kind of grainy. Probably not digital cable. No big deal.

To start with, I'm a Platinum Member of Priority Club which equates to me staying at about 100 different Holiday Inns throughout the country every year. I have my favorites - Holiday Inn Lido Beach, Buckhead in Atlanta, Holiday Inn Sheridan in Hollywood, FL --- but this one surpasses them all. Not for things to do or sights to see, since most people don't visit Columbus to "tour" the area...but for sheer comfort and amenities inside the hotel.

The hotel is brand new and I was reluctant to stay here after I couldn't find a review on TripAdvisor. This website really nails it when trying to get unbiased travel opinions...so, needless to say, I was quite nervous to stay in a place with no reviews. Once I walked in the front door, I understood why - it has only been opened maybe a couple of months.

Positives - Whoever owns this particular property spared no expense. Marble Floors upon entry, beautiful foyer, about a 500 gallon fish tank staring at you when you walk in with exotic fish, nice breakfast area for with great decor and relaxing fireplace, beautiful stone tiled pool.

The rooms all have brand new beds and all are equipped with Plasma TVs. Everything is brand new, and no expense was spared that is for sure. Beds are extremely comfy.

Surrounding the hotel are numerous places to eat within walking distance.

Negatives - A little bit of construction in the area - not to the hotel itself but the area must be growing because there was quite a bit of construction to the roads - nothing you could hear at the hotel though - I had to find something to complain about on here.
