“One night, but it was perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

We recently stayed at this hotel for a wonderful visit with our son who was training at Ft. Benning. We have been in the area before as he graduated in 2010. We love the Infantry Museum and the surrounding area is one of the prettiest there is so when I was trying to find a hotel for this unexpected overnight I was so excited to see the location of this Hampton Inn. The hotel is beautiful, our room on the third floor was perfect. We arrived early and they had been completely booked the night before so our room was not ready, that did not matter to us as our son arrived the same time as us and we decided to go shopping. They were so apologetic for the room not being ready even though we were early and offered to text us when it was. We had a great meal at Boney Fish off exit 10 and returned in the evening to just relax and continue our great visit. The next morning we checked out and headed to the Infantry Museum, you just have to see, whether you have a loved one in the military or not, it is a must see. We are hoping to be back to Ft Benning in the late fall and wish this property allowed pets as it would be our first choice but since we will be traveling with our small dogs we hope others will read our review and enjoy this property.

I choose this hotel because of the location, and the reviews. I was signed in within 5 min. Very cute appearance in the lobby and breakfast area. Room smelled very clean. Beds comfy. Bathroom large. Pool area nice. Grounds are beautiful. Didn't hear any noise from outside of my room. Breakfast was nicer than most other hotels that included breakfast. Eggs and a meat were different each of the three mornings we stayed. Hot oatmeal with fixings, pastries, bagels, toast, english muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, and yogurt. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate out the whole time. Cookies out later on- yum! Note: If you're coming in the back way, which is Lumpkin road, the GPS said "here it is"...and it wasn't. It still was up a couple of feet. Yes, the surrounding area is a dump. Yes, you do have to drive about 10 minutes to get to a nicer restaurant. Yes, parking is down a hill. That's why you pull up out front, unload and check in, and THEN go park. Make sure you have an umbrella in case it rains. The only negative I found was that there are no safes in the room, not even one to bring up. If you want to lock anything up, and all hotels tell you to do so because they won't be responsible, you have to lock it up in a safe deposit box down at the front desk. That's a little inconvienant, but not a deal breaker! We're staying there again in September for infantry graduation!!

Room Tip: Second floor is smoking, so if you don't want smoking, ask to not be on the second floor.

First of all I will tell you this is a new hotel. It is a nice hotel, but the bad part is the location. It sits out in the country, about 2 miles from a very rough section of town. The closet place to eat is a KFC, the rest you will be driving a little farther. As it says on their website about dining, none of that is true, no fine dining close at all. Be ready to ride a little to get to a decent place to eat. The A/C in this hotel is very nosiy. It will not come on till you are in the room, that is not good on a hot humid day. The parking sits off to the side of the hotel, no close parking except for a few handicap parking. To top it off it sits up on a hil, So you will get your daily workout going to the room. Really not good on a rainy day. The food was ok, nothing really to bragg about. The staff were the rudest people ever.

Room Tip: Very close to a rough section of town, no close dining unless you want fast food. Not even a steakho...

Referenced HI was selected since it was in close proximity to business meeting. I rated it satisfactory. However TV did not work and light was out in area where I parked. In fairness I did not report these items since I was only there for a very short time. Inconveniences were tolerable but showed lack of maintenance on hotel's part.

Great location for Ft. Benning access. Staff was very friendly and assisted with directions to Sand Hill, as well as recommended good places to eat. Would have stayed here for graduation next month, but all rooms are booked.

Not only was it the best hotel for the price but it was the best hotel overall. The staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable. I have booked four rooms for graduation and my family and friends will love it.
