I recently stayed at the Residence Inn for a week. It was an enjoyable stay. They serve a free hot breakfast every morning, and on Monday-Thursday evenings they do an evening social, where they serve food and drinks. Every staff member I encountered had a pleasant demeanor, and they did everything possible to be helpful and courteous.
The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking utensils, and it was satisfactory.
The bed was very comfortable as well.

Recently stayed at the Residence Inn while we were in town visiting our 'soldier' who is in basic training at Ft. Benning. The hotel is approx 20 minutes from the base - but the drive back and forth was very easy. We booked this hotel in order to have a 'suite' and the room/layout worked out fine. Everything was clean and in pretty good condition. Free hot breakfast included with the room was fine - nothing special - but adequate. We did not take advantage of it, but on weekday afternoons there is food provided from 5-7 pm (they had lasagna and rolls the day we arrived) and also beer & wine is provided (I think every evening.) This hotel is very very close to many restaurant chains: Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Atlanta Bread Co, Chili's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Carrabba's, Hooters, TGI Fridays, Outback, bbq place (can't remember name) etc etc. This worked out great for our 'soldier' who was so eager to have food and alot of it on his pass off base!
We will definitely stay there again!

We had occasion to stay at this hotel for 4 nights from June 14 - June 17th with the rest of my son's soccer team for a soccer tournament. This appears to be a new hotel and is strategically located across from a shopping plaza with a movie theatre and plenty of good restaurants. The first thing you will notice at this hotel is the outstanding, friendly service. The employee's really make you feel at home. Mon - Thursday nights they offer an evening "activity" -- for example, the Thursday night we arrived they grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, and offered free beverages along with it in the main dining area. One of the highlights was the free breakfast each morning. This was no continental breakfast with a bunch of stale donuts and muffins. Each morning there were eggs, sausage, bacon and either pancakes, or french toast and belgian waffles along with the usual standard continental fare of cereal, granola, breads, etc. The hostess who maintained the breakfast area was extremely friendly and made sure the food was replenished, walked the dining area and offered to refill drinks, etc. One morning, a young man came to breakfast with his two small children, one of whom was demanding a pancake. On this particular morning, the choice was french toast. However, the hostess overheard the conversation and offered to make pancakes for the child, which she did. That is outstanding customer service. The hotel itself is clean, the rooms are large, the pool area with spa is nice. There is also a fenced in basketball court that the boys all enjoyed. From the maids to the front desk to the maintenance folks, all employee's greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The kitchen was convienent. The High Speed Internet access was just one of the reasons why we chose this hotel. The staff was just awesome. Always took the extra steps to ensure the guests felt welcomed and addressed any concerns. We enjoyed the pool and the combination basketball/tennis court. When in Columbus, GA we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Great location. Short walk to shopping and dining.
