My family and I stayed at the Fairfield while I was in town for business. We found the hotel to be very good...extremely clean, courteous staff, and good location. It’s located directly off I-185, exit 7, so I was concerned there might be traffic noise. However, since we ran the room air conditioner the entire time, we didn’t notice any noise at all…and our room was facing the interstate. This is a nicer part of town (I’ve stayed further south off of Macon Road on a previous trip and was disappointed with the area). There are mainly fast food places close by (there is a Logans Roadhouse within walking distance), and the Peachtree Mall was just a half mile away across the interstate.

The room itself was nice and average size with two comfortable double beds, a lounge chair, and a worktable/chair…plenty of room for our family of four to spend a couple of days. The in-room wireless internet was nice. The only things that were missing that would have made the stay even nicer were an in-room refrigerator and microwave.

The daily breakfast was basic standard fare, waffles, cereals, fruit, bagels, etc., but was good. My family enjoyed the indoor pool also, though I only took a dip once. Though not heated, the room was extremely warm so it wasn’t too bad. All in all, this was a very nice hotel that I would definitely consider staying at on my next trip to Columbus.

We stayed here while visiting our son at Fort Benning. The location is convienent (right off the highway, 10 minute drive to the base). The staff were very friendly, and the place was clean and seemed new. The down side was the breakfast-(the waffles were great) -other than that, the selection was poor. A few muffins, cold cereal, and a bowl of apples. The first day they had 3 yogurts in the fridge, but none the next day.The eating area had 4 A/C units blasting at full power- it was too cold to hang out there! We have a new saying to use here in Minnesota- "it's colder than a Georgia hotel lobby!" The beds were like marshmallows. It looked like they had just foam instead of mattresses.The pool was way too cold to swim in, but the hot tub was nice. Vending machines were empty (for drinks). Little things that just added up to a so-so stay.
