“Enjoyable stay...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

We stayed at the Springhill Suites on July 3. It was a great stay.

This has a good location, but it is slightly hidden. Look for the sign. It is surrounded by shopping. Now, it's funny, but we chose this because it's supposed to be located close to a Red Robin. (My son loves Red Robin. Yummmmmm.) Neither one of us could see it. Our GPS had the closest one being 100 miles away. I'm sure it's there, but we never saw it.

I like Springhill Suites. They usually have good rooms, and -- as with all Marriott properties -- great beds. This was no different. Our room was 3-4 down from the elevator. However, if it had been closer I don't think it would have been a problem since we had no noise from the hall.

The breakfast was good with a good selection.

We'll definitely return.

We stay at Springhill Suites for 2 nights to visit family. The room was large enough for my husband and I, along with our 19 month old. Loved having a mini-fridge for his snacks and juice. The rooms and lobby were nice. Only two minor draw backs: at check in there are only two luggage carts which were being used/left on other floors so we had to make several trips to unload luggage and pack and plays. Also at breakfast I don't think they were prepared for the volume (several youth baseball teams were staying there as well) and they ran out of food. There is only one waffle maker so you had to wait on that as well. But overall we were pleased. Also the location is wonderful: Plenty of dinning options and shopping.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the pool. It stays open till 11pm.

Stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The AC, unfortunately, is a wall unit meant to cool the entire room. In the sitting area, the AC was lacking. The hotel was crowded but the rooms were relatively quiet.
The breakfast was good; the waffles were very good! I like the extra fruit available to take on the road. Staff was extremely friendly. I never felt like I was imposing when I asked at the desk for assistance.
The pool was clean; but could have used a bit more seating
Location is great with lots of (typical chain) restaurants and shoppimg. It is also only a short distance from Ft Benning.

This hotel was our "back up plan" since the downtown Marriott was booked for a wedding and the Sugarland concert. We were pleased with the location of the hotel near the mall & restaurants (about 15 minutes from downtown), the clean room condition, and the complimentary coffee and continental breakfast (bagels, muffins, fruit & scrambled eggs). The lobby is modern and bright. This was our first time staying in the SpringHill brand, and as Marriott Reward customers, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience.

The hotel is OK, good location, but there are much better choices in Columbus. I have not stayed at a hotel in years that did not 24 hour coffee in the lobby. Not this hotel. The breakfast was late getting out, and there was not much variety. Before booking here, check the HI Express , and the Hilton Garden. I've stayed at both, and they are much better.

Room Tip: If you want an early cup of coffee, find another hotel.

To begin with, my son (stationed at Ft. Benning) thought he’d made reservations at this hotel; so we made reservations to stay there also. Unfortunately, he made reservations at a different Marriott. The young lady working the front desk (Tabitha) was a real life saver! She made calls to the local Marriott hotels to find where my son would be staying. She found which hotel, asked them to hold the reservation, made us a map and off we went. When we return in March, we will stay at this hotel.

The rooms were very clean and as stated before, the staff is amazing.

The location is convenient to restaurants and shopping. I recommend eating at Zoe’s, it was wonderful.

Room Tip: Military discount on certain rooms.

The staff was very, very friendly. The front desk gal was great! Lots of shopping nearby. Just a little confusing to find. They need a larger sign at the entrance due to construction in front of the hotel. I would give this property 100% if the beds were softer. They were hard as rocks, so I give this a 99%.
