My husband and I recently visited the Space Center and were very disappointed. The $6 per person admission charge didn't seem to cost all that much but after spending five minutes there, we felt robbed to say the least. The entire Center contains no more than 10 exhibits. One was a flight simulator video game that was pretty neat. Another was a theatre that showed footage from a PBS broadcast. Besides a couple of remote control cars, that was pretty much it.
The one saving grace of the CCSSC was the omnisphere. The presentation we saw was about a cardboard box rocket taking two kids around the planets. The theatre was filled with at least 40 screaming children on a school outing which was why we were hoping to see a different show. We really wanted to stay for a laser light presentation featuring Beatles music but that wasn't for another hour and we had already finished the rest of the museum in 20 minutes. You see, your admission ticket only allows you to view one of the omnisphere shows when they have a different one running every hour all day long. If we could have watched another show or two, I imagine we would have been able to justify the six bucks.
Don't waste your money on these mediocre displays. You can get as much excitement from an arcade's flight simulator for 1/6 the price.
