5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Wonderful venue. The local troupe does a fine job with their frequent offerings and maintains high production values. The theater itself is such a treat that the production would have to be very bad to spoil the experience. Go see a play!

Fantastic venue with first rate Broadway plays. Absolutely beautiful 19th century theatre which was completely refurbished during the 1990's..

This grand old theater is spectacular--and has been restored to it's original elegance. So much history here--and did you know it is haunted---???

History, entertaining personal tours, Mon and Wed. 3:30, a docent is always enthused and ready to share, just walk in.
Every production is professional, top notch. Not a bad seat in the House.
Enjoy productions on main stage, Foley Hall, more personnel.
Many children's productions, for all ages, interactive for younger folks.
Great adult acts every Fri. 10;00 P.M. in Foley hall.
Large historic, Saloon with full bar also available for rental events, receptions, parties.
Admission very reasonable.
Staff and volunteers very versed in full knowledge of the Opera House, with great attention to all patrons.

“Thriving community theatre, professional leads and directing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

For local families, the Springer Theatre Academy is an outstanding program, both for its classes and its children's shows. For adults looking for entertainment, the season shows are worth the ticket price. Equity members often take the lead roles, and local talent fills it out. Every December there's a popular musical, as well as the hilarious Tuna shows. New plays get a turn, and Friday nights in an adjacent space you'll find the open-mic No Shame Theatre -- always a good time.
