“Great Hotel for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

I was very impressed with the quality of hotel I got for the price. The staff is friendly and it was easy to get a shuttle to run me back to the airport when needed. I would recommend this hotel for future stays.

Retuning from a 10 hour plane flight, the Hampton Inn offered a quiet place to relax and refresh before finishing our journey. The hotel appearance is a bit dated and worn but everything else from staff helpfulness to quietness and convenience to airport is top notch.

This hotel is laid out so poorly. The staff was put off by having to interrupt their social conversation to help us only after asking for assistance. It is hard to find. The elevator is at the end of the hall instead of close to the lobby (center of the building). This makes going and coming really inconvenient. The shuttle to the airport does not go to the international terminal.

A religious gathering brought us to the Hampton Inn Atlanta Airport. My husband and I stayed for 10 nights. We arrived at the hotel at about 2AM after a 12-hour drive. The overnight staff was courteous and helpful. The breakfast crew always had a great spread and had true "Southern Hospitality'. A day or two after being there we realized our phone did not work. We alerted the front desk but it was never addressed. We didn't need it so it was no big deal but if I did, I would have been disappointed. Room was clean and bathrooms were nice. The hardest part was keeping my kids from disturbing others. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. :)

Having arrived in the late evening after a long-haul flight from the UK (and a painfully long 75 minute queue to get through immigration at Atlanta airport - shocking!), we picked up our hire car and drove the 5 minutes to the Hampton Inn College Park where we had pre-booked two rooms for my wife and I plus our daughter an son-in-law. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, the rooms were large and very comfortable, the hotel is simple but well appointed and the breakfast was great. Nice touches are the coffee makers in the room (real filter coffee), 24/7 teas, chocolate or coffee in reception (with choices of defaff, mild, regular or strong) and a remarkably good breakfast selection included in the price. I liked the fact we could make a coffee "to go" to take with us when we set off too. There is a "shop" (help yourself and pay at reception) with snacks and even frozen meals to microwave - microwave provided) so late night arrivals do not have to go out to get something to eat. There is also a pleasant pool for a refreshing swim and a small gym with a basic selection of machines. It is not, however, a full service hotel and there is no restaurant - but that was not what we needed or wanted at an airport hotel - it met our requirements perfectly - i.e. a clean, comfortable place to rest our wearly heads!

Bad service, punctuated by the staff sleeping in the office at night (I had to wake them up twice, including once when I had to walk into the manager's office to do it because I could see her feet poking out). The breakfast was great, the only good thing about this trip. Also, the beds are well below par. Funky smelling pillows are only the start; the beds are springy and the comforters are lumpy, far below 'Hampton Bed' quality. Just because it's close to the airport doesn't mean it should lack quality. Every other Hampton Inn I've stayed at keeps me coming back without hesitation. This one will keep me away from Atlanta's!

They have a nice breakfast area and meals in the evening, not to mention the fresh baked cookies. The beds are nice and the room is nice. The shuttle to the airport is great and they are right there to get you when you get back. You can leave your car for a fee. When we returned from a two week trip our car would not start and we needed a jump. The shuttle driver tracked us down some jumper cables and jumped us off and we were on our way. It is hard to beat that kind of service and I doubt, if you will find a better place near the Atlanta airport.
