This was my first experience with an Embassy Suites but it will not be my last. I traveled with my husband and our 4 children.
The hotel was nice on the outside and located near the airport. The inside was beautiful. They were doing some remodeling but it did not affect our stay in any way. There was a path throught the lobby and fountains the children enjoyed throwing pennies in. The giftshop was small but nice.
We stayed in a 2 Room Suite with 2 Double Beds. I liked that the room was huge and very upacale and elegant. The colors were beautiful, beds were soft and the children fought over the blankets b/c they were soooo fluffy. Down maybe. There was a tv in the bedroom and one in the living room as well. There was a fridge and sink area that was very nice and coffee pot in the room. There was already an extra pillow and blanket in the closet, which I liked. Everything was very clean and the room smelled fine. The only complaint I had with the room was that there was no view from the bedroom window and in the am we could hear, what I assumed were, delivery trucks in the back lot of the hotel.
We received a complimentary cooked to order breakfast everyday of our stay and with four children we saved a lot of money. The breakfast was very crowded but the food was good. There was a line for what would have been a buffet but you are served and you just tell them what you want. They had coffee, cereal, juices everything you could possibly want for breakfast. To my surprise and delight they even had a cappuccino maker. We did have trouble one morning getting forks but when I asked one of the ladies bussing the tables she brought us some first when they came out of the kichen. They also had a nightly managers reception where, I believe, we had tickets for free coctails but we didn't take advantage of that.
The pools were nice. There are 2. An indoor pool and an outdoor pool. We used both. I liked that there were towels at both pools and there was plenty of seating. The pools were also open late. Until, I believe it was, midnight. That was great for us b/c we didn't get back to the hotel until late.
They had a workout room that we didn't use--it seemed small and a sauna but it was closed for renovation.
This hotel was right in our budget and saved us a ton of money on breakfast. I paid $109 for my weeknights and $119 for weekend nights. We did have to pay for parking, which I always think is ridiculous b/c you're paying to stay at the hotel anyway but it was $6 per day or we used the valet parking for $10 a day. Checkin was at 3pm and checkout was a 12pm, which is great. Most hotels are kicking you out by 10 or 11am.
I would def. stay here again.
