This hotel follows the same concept of all Embassy Suites hotels- center atrium, complimentary cocktails and breakfast, etc. We have stayed here twice in the last 12 months and have found the hotel to have both positives and negatives. First, the good: The hotel is very close to the airport, as well as the GA International Convention Center (1 exit). The front desk staff was cordial. The hotel has some nice services (free breakfast and cocktial hour), and parking is reasonable for the area. There is also an on-site restaurant (average food, very slow service),and small gift shop. The rooms are typical Embassy Suites, though ours had a disgusting- looking stain in the middle of the living area carpet. Now for the negatives: We stayed three nights and had to be up early every morning. Breakfast was scheduled to start at 7:00 am on the weekend, and 6:30 on the week days. Every morning we arrived at breakfast to find the staff beginning to set up at the time that breakfast was to be served. Therefore, it was not possible to have a hot breakfast until half and hour after the start time. In addition, the food quality was poor. The breakfast staff was unfriendly. We also waited up to 25 minutes per day for for the valet parking staff to bring our car.
We are frequent travlers whom I believe have reasonable expectations of quality and service. It's our opinion that his hotel is a pretty good value only if you aren't able to find a comparable rate at one of the full- service airport hotels.
