When I stay near the airport, the hotel shuttle service is important to me. In the case of this hotel, the shuttle is VERY SLOW, it runs whenever they feel like - seemed to me and others waiting, it was very frustrating to see all the other hotel shuttles come back again and be told on the phone by the hotel that "is coming in 5 minutes" which of course was not the case.
The hotel is just "a hotel". Public areas seemed renovated, clean, spacious enough, quiet ... I just hated the small windows, gave a claustrophobic feeling to the box, I mean the room !! ... that is how it feels ! Didn't like the sink out of the bathroom either.
What I did like and made up for all these other things, was the free breakfast, buffet style, eat all you want. Of course don't expect omelettes or benedict eggs, but the variety was good enough to take you to the airport and save up to 20 dollars on fast food breakfasts there. They even had self-made pan cakes, which we all found amusing and good to eat.

“Horrible Experience”

We arrived for one night at the Holiday Inn Express. Room was very beat up and musty smelling. At about 3AM we heard a sound coming from the bathroom as if the faucet was on - we though it was only the shower leaking. Heard it again around 4:30AM and decided to get up to see what it was all about. There was a leak coming through the bathroom ceiling of an off-color water. It was coming from the room above us. Immediately packed our stuff and went down to the desk to complain. The lady behind the desk was not helpful nor apologetic and only offered a $30 discount off of our bill. We are still working with Holiday Inn in hopes that we receive a full refund. Not recommended...

“Pretty nice!”

Booked through Priceline - got a rate of $84. Not too bad. Only stayed one night. Easy to find off I-85. We checked in - Malcolm was behind the counter as was a woman whose name I did not get. Both were fabulously helpful and accommodating. The woman gave us some information we'd been needing about directions, etc. Malcolm was pleasant and cheerful and we had a good time talking to him.

Upon checking into our room, we found we had a king bed, though we had requested two doubles (we were 3 women traveling for a convention). We called downstairs and Malcolm apologized profusely but notified us that the hotel was sold out and there was nothing they could do. He found us a rollaway bed and that worked fine.

The room was nice, clean, well appointed. Nothing out of the ordinary but nice. The bathroom was a nice size. There was a countertop outside the bathroom with a coffee maker and a mini-fridge. Beds were very comfortable.

We only stayed one night, but the hotel staff was exceedingly helpful and gracious. We fell in love with Malcolm, who had the most infectious laugh and most charming personality. The cleaning staff were all friendly and kind. We would stay there again - no question about it.

    • Tips/Secrets: — A bit of airport noise, so wear earplugs if you're bothered by that.

“OK, looks like hotel sees a LOT of HARD ABUSE”

Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Airport

Jul 28, 2006

This place is fine for one night. It is pretty convienient to the airport, and not that noisy considering its location.

the mattress and bedding was nice quality and in good shape.

It looks like it was renovated not too many years ago, but the halls and public areas are pretty banged up and grubby. A sign that LOTS of people, probably tired from airports and planes, have stay there.

It is a little tricky to find by car. the directions didn't actually get us there, we wound up turning around one exit later on I-85 and then going back. Once off I-85, you have to look REALLY hard for a little sign to tell you where to turn. You can see if from I-85, but getting there is a little bit tricky. BUT is was 1:00 am in the morning when we arrived with a van full of distracting whiny kids.

over all, OK, not great. if you get a good deal on the price, then is is a good place to stay. not worth $100 a night in my opinion, but I am not a fan of Atlanta. too busy, too rude for me.

“Ok for the money”

Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Airport

Was Comfort Inn, now Peachtrees (rumour has it this is a temporary name whilst they convert to Holiday Inn Express). Rooms are a bit "tired", could do with a makeover. Outdoor pool, reasonable free breakfast, free parking. Staff were helpful. Its Ok for $62 + tax we paid for the 24th July 2005. If you simply want a bed for the night, its good value for money, but don't expect The Ritz.
