We chose the La Quinta for our last night of a two week vacation to NE Georgia so we could drop off the rental car and use the hotel shuttle to the airport for our morning flight. The rooms were clean and very large. A suite with separate work desk and sitting room with couch and chair. They also offer a park and ride which I would use if I lived in Atlanta.

This is a well maintained old property in an isolated neighborhood near the airport. Rooms are well furnished with small sitting room. Housekeeping is attentive and bathrooms are clean. Within walking distance (for only those brave enough to walk among the traffic) to Ruby Tuesday. If you haven't been to Atlanta before, the traffic is nightmarish and staying near the airport the night before a flight is a must.

I was quite impressed with La Quinta. This obviously would not have been my first choice, but I was there for a week on business and givin the good experience I may return (on business). Located just a few minutes from the airport and a few restaurants around for a bit of convenience. I stayed in the King Executive Suite which was very spacious to say the least! The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on, made it impossible to get out of bed after late night meetings. Rooms were cleaned daily. I enjoyed having a seperate livingroom area, made for a comfortable week long stay (not so crowded). Free wi-fi was a great, never had any connections issues

Although they do provide a free continental breakfast, my days started way to early to even try to enjoy so I can not comment. Front desk service was helpful and they all greeted me the entire duration of my stay.

Stayed at this hotel on a layover. Booked last minute on a great rate. Free 24hour airport shuttle, so catching a 6am flight wasn't a problem. Room was on the first floor near the front desk, so there was a lot of walking traffic noise, doors slamming shut from the rooms next to us, but we were so tired, and it was so late, it wasn't a problem until the next morning, when the slamming of doors and traffic picked up again.. Didn't need a 'wake up call' from the desk, because of the noise. :)

This hotel is located just south of the airport on a strip of other lodgings and a small handful of restaurants. If you arrive at the airport you can call the hotel for a pickup in the ground transportation area, bays 20-24. But have a cell handy, because hotel management does not subscribe to the listings on the hotel sign board. The ride takes only 5 minutes. The hotel has a huge lobby area, pool, exercise room, business center and breakfast room. There is some vendng but, like I said, few eateries and no shops. Without a vehicle you'll have to depend on the hotel shuttle to either take you to another area or back to the airport rotunda for more food and shopping choices. In the morning there was a free newspaper in the lobby area, but they get scooped up quickly because of the many business travelers. My room had a multi-channel TV that I really didn't watch much. I didn't have a car, but if you do, there is ample parking and easy freeway and airport access. With a MARTA ticket you can get into the city and around pretty easily and won't need a car (at least during the day). The ticket is good on both the train and the bus system. Maybe opt for a visitor pass? The attendant at the airport station booth can help. However, there were a couple of issues I had with the design of the property. One, my room window was secured and I had to rely on the automated air/heat for appropriate circulation. I was dissatisfied. Two, I had a lobby level room but the lobby sometimes became a gatering place for guests, especially for business types, and it was quite noisy. Even in the late evening. Rates seem competitve, but don't overpay, and unless you're a nimble traveler, maybe only one overnight.

Room Tip: Not the ground floor!

Our experience with this LaQuinta Inn was excellent! We stayed here for several days with my husband working in this area for STR International. It begins at the front desk. It starts at the top with Assistant General Manager that guides and directs the employees in all this areas. The maid, maintenance, shuttle, the breakfast service did a wonderful job. You go to hotel and the employees do their job, however, these employees have smiles on their faces everyday and go out of their way to assist you in every way. These days in most areas of retail, restaurants, hotels, etc. people can do their job and that is about it and don't thing extra to assist you. I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. A great bunch of people because as I said before they do more than just their job. I would stay here again and would recommend this LaQuinta Inn to all of my friends and family when they travel to Atlanta.
