The only reason this hotel doesn't get a 'Terrible' is that the staff were friendly, both the shuttle driver and the front desk staff. Not very effective (except the shuttle driver!), but friendly. I stayed here during the December 2010 snow when my connecting flight in Hartsfield was canceled. Delta gave me the special Delta rate, and the Marriott was fully booked so I ended up here. At check-in there was a line out the door, with only one person at the desk, working slowly on each person. Given the extra business that they knew they would get, another person should have been brought in, whatever the cost. Delta is guaranteeing them business every time Hartsfield has issues (not uncommon) so this is the least they could do.

The hotel was being renovated and was incredibly shabby, looking in parts like a temporary building on a construction site. The rooms were ok, though the doors closing were noisy. Breakfast was not good. The 'fresh fruit' was still frozen. Not a little bit cold, actually still frozen. Breads were stale.

The worst aspect of my stay was that the internet was down the entire time. A hotel that has as its only customers travelers who are stranded should ensure quality internet service, or at least have in place procedures that maximize the possibility of quality internet service. The woman at the front desk did not have the ability to reboot their system because she did not have the key to the door to gain access to their router. This would have to wait until 8am the next day when the maintenance people came back on duty. So I was there from 9pm to 8 am with no way of checking flights, communicating with colleagues or family. That's right, a hotel that relies on stranded passengers for business does not have the ability to troubleshoot their internet service after hours. Totally unacceptable.

I recently hosted a business meeting at this hotel, and was very impressed. While the property is pretty aged, it is undergoing renovation, and I stayed in a new room that was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The price was incredible, and I really enjoyed working with Stephanie Rogers, the hotel's new Director of Sales. Stephanie is doing great things with what was a pretty distressed property, and I found her and her staff incredibly easy to work with, helpful, and eager to ensure our meeting was successful on all fronts.

A real treat here is the restaurant / bar run by a lady called "Ms. Kim." She serves normal inexpensive hotel far, but the surprise is her outstanding Korean cuisine, something I have a real soft spot for. And I won't post the incriminating karaoke pictures :-)

If you need a very inexpensive, clean, comfortable place with a great staff, look no further than this hotel, and give Stephanie a call.

Spent less than 12 hours in a second floor king room. The room was simple but reasonable. Seemed to be clean enough. Property is old. Price is really low so value for a quick overnight is A+. Would not necessarily be comfortable for a prolonged stay. Was assured by management that refurbishment is underway and partially completed. This is apparent by the small flaws - paint spots - unpainted areas - worn areas near newer areas. Marilyn Carlson, the owner of Carlson companies, would likely never stay here even though she owns this motel. But for the rest of us, this is an affordable, acceptable, convenient option to the ATL airport. Breakfast could be enhanced by more hot options, in particular non-meat options, perhaps eggs?

I stayed here for one night for CS. It was perfect: very friendly and helpful staff including at the restaurant Genesis. Quiet, clean, safe, humble. The best part is that it's a short and easy shuttle ride from the airport and a less than 5 minute walk across the parking lot from the testing center. Good breakfast (hot bar free) and free cookies, coffee. Cheap! Value par excellence.

Outdated and dirty. Tthe bed skirts were filthy; curtains, filthy. Maids cleaned surfave areas good, but their is only so much you can do with outdate dirt!

I arrived late evening after a long international flight & having negotiated all the luggage pick up issues at Atlanta airport. This hotel was booked on hotwire & was the cheapest around so I had pretty low expectations. The shuttle bus was waiting at the airport & left 2 mins after I arrived. I was the only passenger & the driver was friendly & courteous. The hotel was fine for this price & the free wifi worked well & was useful for catching up on emails when I woke early still on European time.
The free breakfast was the usual toast, bagels, cereals, juices etc. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. The shuttle bus leaves every 30 minutes & the driver on this one was also friendly & courteous. I must admit that when I read all the negative reviews I wished I had gone for a more upscale hotel but I was pleasantly surprised - especially at these prices.
