I stayed at the Holiday Inn Select in December and January. Overall, the hotel is nice and affordable. It is minutes from the Airport, so makes a good place for transiting passengers. But don't expect any special treatment or courtesy if you are a business or long-term guest.
On the positive side, the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has a nice pool and a small fitness area. The conference rooms seem nice as well.
On the negative side, the Hotel does not seem to be very accommodating to long-term business or Platinum guests. The Reception Staff do not seem friendly. They never greet you and are not courteous. Twice the receptionist checked me in, while talking to someone on the phone without even greeting or looking at me. Overall, they seem fairly indifferent.
To recap, the Hotel is nice and affordable and has a good location. Just do not expect the staff to treat you as a valued guest. Probably because so many people and flight crews pass there daily.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby, and since my preteen daughter was along we had sought a place with indoor pool (this was October). Our room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The pool was great - clean and warm, though in a much darker room than shown on the web site.
The staff were friendly, but we found service in the restaurant sloppy. Kids menu items were not, at either of 2 meals, fully supplied even after prompting, and they had to be reminded that kids eat free.
On the whole, a very nice place to stay.

We booked the room on Priceline....the first time we've used them and got a great rate however we were dismayed to see a "this room is designated a smoking room" sign by the door, as there was by every door in that hall that we could see. There had been no mention of requesting a nonsmoking or smoking room in the booking process. The room reeked of smoke when we opened the door so we called the front desk and were told that it was a nonsmoking room. The hotel had recently converted to all nonsmoking. We spoke to a member of the housekeeping staff who said it was because we got a cheaper rate on priceline that we were given that room . There were no rooms available to switch to so we were stuck with a mattress that smelled like smoke and kept the windows open all night. Luckily it was only one night. The room itself would have been quite acceptable if it had not been for the smell. I'm sure professional cleaning could have taken care of that problem, but they must not have felt it was necessary. Another customer spoke to us in the lobby. They were on the same floor and had the same problem.

This was my first experience of a US welcome and it did not impress. The reception staff were offhand and did not advise me of any of the facilities etc. They barely told me where my room was. The hotel itself was nice enough for a one night stopover. Breakfast was good (staff in there were much nicer) and the pool was reasonable but small. Would stay here again but they need to brush up on their customer service.
