“Good Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

This was my third visit and I was surprised by the expansion in the last three years.
The only problem with expansion is the facilities come under greater pressure, as witnessed by the very large number of people waiting to enter the dining room for breakfast as the restaurant opened at 6.00 am.
In defence of the management, I will say I have never seen such well organised service, but it becomes a bit of a food factory at busy times.
The food is of good quality and very large helpings at good prices.
The shortcomings are well worth putting up with just to visit the outstanding Bryce Canyon.

Stayed for one night while on a coach tour. The room was a large motel room, clean, comfortable and well-equipped but with a pervasive musty smell. Certainly a great location for visiting Bryce conyon which is well worth a trip.

Stayed here just one night on a tour of the national Parks and found the place clean, comfortable but a long way from any town. There are two eating facilities nearby one has entertainment and decent food for about $35 a head and the other, which we went to, had excellent food for about $25 a head. The walk is a bit perilous as americans do not walk very much, it seems to me, but there is a path to both.Go early as the queue was very extended by the time we left and a wait of about an hour was expected. No complimetary breakfast.

You cannot beat the location, no question there, but the prices are high, the rooms poor, unclean and small.
Clearly a place that knows it's got a prime space and milks it well. Full of bus travellers and tours coming for one night and then leaving.

The rooms are not clean and old. The carpets are dusty, so for allergy sufferers stay away! They are dirty and unkept. The walls are paper thin but most people just go to sleep so not a big issue this.

The store is very well stocked though pricey. The pool is average. The grand BW hotel opposite seems miles better but is booked year's ahead.
Shame as this is so close to one of the most beautiful Nat parks in the USA.

Overall, if you want proximity then worth baring up to the poor comfort and it is so worth it for the park itself which is just fabulous

Room Tip: get a room on 2nd floor for sure and towards the lake. Avoid street views

We stayed for two nights recently, and were very surprised.

The whole area is like a mini log cabin resort, so we were expecting rustic rooms. The log cabins are two storey lodges and all named after animals. Our room in Antelope Lodge was impeccable. The main room had light fresh coloured decor, light wood furniture, TV, fridge, microwave, no safe, table, chairs, leading into a dressing area with washbasin, which leads into the bathroom with second handbasin, great shower and fresh shower curtain. Fresh white towels, crisp white bed linen.

The lobby restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner. It is extremely busy with queues waiting for tables, but the friendly staff seem to get people moving quite quickly, depending on the time of day. We queued for twenty minutes on the first morning, and the breakfast wasn't all that great for the money, so we decided to visit the Canyon Diner across the way on the next morning. Again, the Diner was extremely busy but we got a table straight away.

There is the Ebenezer's Barn & Grill with music for an evening meal, but you have to make a reservation.

There is also a gift shop and grocery store for basic shopping, swimming pool, conference centre, and a Bryce Canyon shuttle bus.
Plenty of outdoor activities.

Care and attention has been given to this Best Western Plus and if you can't get a room here, there is a Best Western Grand Hotel across the road.

Stopped by Bryce on way back from Grand Canyon - five of us stayed in family suite. Perfect accommodations. Was so tired that I feel asleep right away - so I cannot provide review on mattress. King bed was located in separate room from 2 queen beds. Each room at TV with cable & separate air conditioning unit.

We were worried that since it was so large, that Ruby's would be "hokey", but we were very pleased. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a tee pee and the showers were very clean and had good warm water pressure. They even let us watch Monday night football on the tv in the laundry room, past closing time. We really had a great visit here!

Room Tip: We stayed at the campground and all tent sites and teepee were spread out and in a good spot!
