“Good food, fun time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2012

Great way to spend a couple hours and take in some of the local "Cowboy" culture! The food was decent (we had the chicken) and the entertainment was surprisingly better than expected. I spent nearly as much money on far inferior meals elsewhere in the area (i.e Ruby's cowboy buffet ...yuck) so was quite pleased with entire experience.

The hosts/performers were very hospitable and engaging. Glad we went!

“Just Doesn't WOW”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

While Ebenezer's is located in a beautiful structure and provides comfortable round tables with chairs (unlike many chuckwagon venues that have only backless benches), they miss mark on food and entertainment. All the food selections were bland and the water was chalky tasting (which includes coffee and tea). The hosts/performers are very personable and friendly and the music was pretty good--even had some impressive stage effects. But the attempt at humor felt corny and awkward. Since the crowd in May was largely seniors with many foreign countries represented, it was not age appropriate. Having been to several country dinner/shows

“The Good, Bad, and Ugly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2012

My wife and I ate here on the evening of 5/9/2012.
THE GOOD: Entertainment was wonderful if you like western music. Played songs like "Rawhide", "Bonanza", and "Back In The Saddle" to name a few. Very entertaining.
THE BAD: Buffet/Chuck Wagon Style. Not really all that bad because there was a very small crowd (maybe 50 people) this particular evening. Lined up for food depending on your row facing the stage. Food was warm at best. All main dishes were preselected when reservations were made so everyone had a ticket for a particular item (fish, steak, chicken). The really bad part was that those who ordered the fish had to return to their table because it was not ready!!
This meant their partners who had not ordered the fish were served their food and ate while the other had to wait for the fish to get done and then return later. Really poor planning!!
THE UGLY: Once the fish was done, those who returned for their food serving were given half cooked fish! My wife went beserk at this point, spoke the the kitchen manager who apologized with some poor excuse for the problems. She finally got her cooked fish, returned to the table only to find all had pretty much finished their meals.
Bottom line: Entertainment good, food fair at best, kitchen prep. a disaster. I would not return even though they gave my wife a free CD to make amends.
They've been doing this gig long enough you would think they would have their act together by now. Not this night.

I remember this night very well. Yes all of the Salmon was not ready at 8:00pm. But everyone including your wife was served their food by 8:08pm. I do remember talking to your wife about the problem and apologizing for the unforeseen issue. If I remember correctly I also gave her a $15.00 Bar G Wrangler CD for free. I am completely sorry for the inconvenience it caused you and to say that everything goes 100% perfect all of the time in anything would be a fabrication of the truth. We do try to make every experience for everyone a good one. I hope you give us another chance in the future to make up for the less than great time you had.

My apologize

“A fun evening at Ebenezer's Barn & Grill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2011

We enjoyed our evening very much. The food was good, and there was plenty of it! The show was very entertaining. I got to go onstage during the part of the performance where they included people from the audience and it was lots of fun! We were pleasantly surprised with the speed of dinner service as well. The lines went surprisingly fast - very well organized! Thanks for a wonderful evening!
