“Hello pizza, thank you for coming....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Located just north of what you can reasonably call Brookhaven (so more or less in Chamblee) is this little building that doesn't amount to much, offers decent parking on a roughly paved u shaped lot - except when it's busy on trivia night or after a soccer game - and has the interior decor of my dorm room from 1988. In other words, if you weren't paying attention, you wouldn't pay attention all of the sudden.

And yet.... the pizza might as well be crack.

Here is a pizza establishment that understands that pizza is served on metal pie pans, piping hot, and is best consumed just like that. It is delicious. Plain cheese. Delicious. Pepperoni. Delicious. And you can add all sorts of other toppings, but it isn't necessary.

The beer selection is perfect for pizza consumption. The wings - delectable sticky, hot, sweet, flavorful combinations. The chicken tenders - get a half order unless you intend to feed 4 people. It's all good. It's almost too good.

We find that the pizza beckons you to savor each and every mouthful. It's classic stuff, and it's to die for.

The staff behind the counter is pleasant and helpful. They bring the food out to you when it's ready. Add bar team trivia to the mix and it's a perfect evening.

The tables and chairs seem to migrate around the restaurant as groups from two to twelve seek out a spot to partake in this neighborhood pizza establishment. The interior offers nothing extraordinary. The game is on one of the TVs. The soda is self service. And despite its rather ugly duckling appearance, it's all about the grub here, my man (or woman). It's all about the GRUB.

Finish your meal with sugary pillows of heaven as you stuff powdered sugared fried pizza dough into your pie hole for an end of meal experience that is divine. Take your leftovers home to enjoy another time, and I guarantee, you will be back.

Great pizza. Great, great pizza.

“For the Buffalo New York homesick looking for a pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

As a native of Buffalo, New York, Gallas takes care of my craving for Buffalo style pizza. Their pizza, especially the pepperoni, reminds me of home. The wings here are big and tasty too. I only gave Gallas 4 stars because their beef on wreck rolls are a joke - no salt or caraway seeds on top. Don't bother ordering that or the haddock on Fridays, stick with the pizza and wings. This is also one of the few places you can get a Labatt's Blue Light, Molson Canadian or a Genny Cream Ale.
