We went for a "get out of the house" night for the weekend and based on the previous reviews we chose to stay at this location. It was within resonable driving distance and still let us get away from the kids.
First, I have to agree with the others...WHY doesn't this place have a elevator???? Baffles me...
None the less, our stay was great. There were few travelers staying there so the hotel was pretty much open. We chose not to use the pool but it was available and only had 2 people in it that evening.
We decided to go to AJ's Cafe (onsite) for a few drinks. There were 2 people in there enjoying their drinks. I had figured there would be more since they had 2 pool tables (free). The drinks were VERY reasonable (for what I'm used to paying)...$6.00 for 2 beers and a Strawberry Daqari.
We chose not to visit the onsite restuarant or use room service. However, while we were at AJ's we did pick up dessert (and forgo the $3 fee for room service) and carried it back to the room.
The chocolate cake was good...not the best, but good.
Check Out was non eventful. Our bill was waiting on us on the floor in the morning. I chose to go to the front desk and leave the keys and a comment card. My only comment was concerning the elevator.
I must say...the hotel is VERY nice. The greenery around the courtyard and pool area was very nice and scenic. The pool itself is almost hidden by the surrounding shrubs.
Needless to say, my wife and I enjoyed ourselves and would visit again.
Oh...btw...we booked online and the rates were cheaper if you didn't use the AAA discount. Rate was 84.95 for a king with foldout couch.
