I would not recommend staying here. The customer service here is okay, but the owner is rude. My bathroom was not cleaned and did not smell like it had been cleaned. The water smells gross. Friday morning, my mom and I went to go eat breakfast and there was a roach on the floor and then there were sour nats in the bread for toast. Instead, we went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. The pool is shown on the website, but it is green and the lady at the customer service desk told us that they do not have a permit for it. The lady at the front desk with the redish hair is super nice, but the owner is rude. I would not recommend staying here... I will never come back here again.

My friends and I stopped here for a night, on our way to up the coast. The room was clean, people were very nice. Obviously, it's not a swanky resort where you want to vacation (it's by the highway), but it's a very decent place to spend a night or couple. Very much recommend it. I'd stay there again.

On this trip down the east coast we stopped at the service rest stop near exit 42. There was a coupon for the howard Johnson hotel off of exit 36a so we stopped. Rooms were very clean and the housekeeping and maintenance guy were very nice. We definately recommend trying this hotel.
