I would first like to apologize for the lack of hospitality from the staff. We encourage all of our staff to be prompt and energetic with their greetings.
We have been undergoing several renovations recently involving our furniture and rooms. Sadly it seems were had not gotten the chance to fix the problems you mentioned before your stay. I also am concerned about the smell of smoke in our non-smoking rooms and have done a thorough cleaning to all of them to correct the problem.
I do hope you may give us another chance, but also understand that first impressions are the hardest to overwrite.
I thank you for your business and criticisms so that we can work on making your next stay that much better.

I regret that we will not be seeing you again at our hotel but understand your reasoning. I am happy my staff made a positive mark on you.
I am sorry for the lack of freshness of our breakfast and will be taking great strides to correct this. There is no excuse for old or outdated items to be put out for our guests.
I would like to thank you for your business and for your criticism so that we make work on making our hotel better for every customer.
