“Amazing old house, stuffed with interesting objects”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

We stayed for 2 nights in early May. Beautiful old house in a residential district, completely filled with interesting objects. Some are antiques and some just things the owners have taken a fancy to. Not a spare surface in our large room!! Breakfast was excellent, bed comfortable and lots of space. The only downside was the air conditioning - we had the controls but they also controlled the next door room so we couldn't turn it off. It made a loud 'bang' when it switched on and off which was fine during the day but enough to disturb you at night. It worked however. Excellent value for money as well.

We stayed here after a trip on the Lady Jane shrimping boat and had a very nice time. The Manor is gorgeous and Rusty, the caretaker, was very helpful. We were surprised that there was VERY little in Brunswick as far as restaurants/bars and actually ended up not having dinner after the shrimp boat because there was nothing appealing close by. There was one place offering live jazz but it didn't look like it would offer the Southern Charm we were looking for. We ended up driving almost 10 miles and having dessert at Dairy Queen and heading back to the Manor. The really nice thing was that there was a small bar in the manor stocked with wine and Rusty told us we were welcome to have a glass or two on the house. We spent a great evening going through the old books and pictures, drinking wine in the parlor and had a great night of sleep. Definitely recommend Brunswick Manor if you should find yourself in Brunswick! If you can make it there, Darien, GA is about 10 miles away and has a very nice waterfront and a lot of charm. We stopped there for lunch at the Purple Pickle on our way to Savannah and really loved it. Special thanks to Henry the Cat and Brunswick Manor...he was a fantastic host!

Room Tip: We had the St. Simon's suite downstairs (it was my Mom and I) and really liked it. Two separate...

I found this place online and it stood out as an potential promising experience. I have to say the pictures don't do the place justice. Rusty was very helpful by coming back to open the doors for us, since we had not made advance reservations. The house itself breathes atmosphere and taste. Artwork, antique furnishings, just beautiful rooms. The manor in itself is worth the trip. The historic district in Brunswick is very quiet compared to Savannah, but the houses are just as imposing. In 15 minutes time you can be at either island.

When in Brunswick, GA, the only place you want to stay is at the Brunswick Manor. Its clean, comfortable and the people who take care of your are extremely wonderful! The Manor stands out in the Historic Brunswick District and is ideally located near St Simons and Jeckyll Islands. The experience will take you back in time. We always find it very relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks, Rusty, we'll be back!

A wonderful visit. A great display of casual elegance. This B&B has it all. Comfort, quiet, cleanliness combined with beautifully appointed antiques and excellent service. Rusty one of the innkeepers caters to your every need and is an excellent source of local travel tips.
We loved it and we’d love to go back again!

Brunswick is within minutes of Jekyll and St. Simons Islands in a sparkling clean, 1880, beautifully restored home with gorgeous antiques, yet modern bathrooms (showers in all rooms). The owners also have a very successful catering company and do major events throughout Atlanta and the surrounding area. Rusty makes you feel like you've been friends forever and you can trust his recommendations (he also makes a wicked biscuit every morning). Henry the cat lives on the porch and will sit in your lap if you hold still more than a minute. Wine is self serve in the evening while getting ready for dinner. We're on a four month road trip and this place was memorable. Great value.

Room Tip: There are no bad choices in this inn. Very quiet.

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel and located this B&B. It was perfect! My husband, I and our Lab stayed at wonderful, beautiful Brunswick Manor in April 2012. The house was tastefully decorated. Rusty was the perfect host and fabulous cook. Very close to different places for site seeing. We really enjoyed our stay and plan on returning.
