I decided to stay on exit 36 instead of 38 this trip and thought Ramada was pretty popular and for a good price so I stopped by. Upon walking in I noticed this odd smell but figured it wouldn't be in the room, maybe someone had a stinky lunch. The woman at the front desk, Mrs. Sylvia, acted as though I had just woken her up, which was again odd. She gave us a room on the second floor and I asked if she was able to give us one on the ground floor. She said no that the rooms were all full. While unloading our bags we noticed the parking lot was virtually empty but decided not to say anything since there was an elevator. On the way to our room, we noticed the walls were painted poorly as though someone were covering up many scuff marks or spots with the wrong color. The halls and our room were hot (even for winter) the A/C in our room was not on. Once we turned it on it smelled like mildew so I sprayed some perfume. We're not picky people but something just didn't seem right about this hotel. We walked out for a smoke (the hotel is non-smoking) and noticed what I am 100% sure to be drug activity in the parking lot. Needless to say, I did not have another smoke until I left in the morning!
