“Avoid room 118”

Ramada Inn

Jul 25, 2008

We were passing through, spending one night in Brunswick, and chose the Ramada based on recommendations from TripAdvisor. It was a most pleasant evening, except for our room. We were given room 118. The room was next door to the mechanical room. Some machinery in the mechanical room shifted off and on almost every minute we were in the room. The desk clerk offered to move us to another room, which he did, and offered to help us move our luggage, which he didn't. Unfortunately, the second room was upstairs. Don't avoid this motel-avoid this room. The desk clerk indicated that noone else had ever complained about the noise (which I doubt).

Also, someone had recently installed these newfangled, curved shower curtain rods-the ones that bend outward. Unfortunately, the motel did not invest in longer shower curtains. I was careful to close the shower curtain as best I could, but water was all over the floor after the shower because the shower curtain was too short. Could become a safety issue!

So far this sounds like a negative review, but it's really not. I have stayed for several nights at other places in Brunswick, Jekyll, and St. Simon's, and with the exception of the Jekyll Island Club and Resort, this is the nicest place around-including the Island offerings.

The flat screen tv was nice. The AC worked well. The bed was fine. The continental breakfast was what you would expect from a motel. The front desk personnel were pleasant and competent. Rates were satisfactory. We will return to this motel when passing through.

I would like to apologize for the unpleasant experience in Room 118. We have taken care of the noise. The sprinkler systems pressure was causing the noise and we had someone scheduled to take of the problem. Again, I apologize and would like for you to stay with again.

We stayed here one night 6/20/08, and had a comfortable over night stay. The check-in clerk was friendly, the room clean, and there was a modest continental breakfast in the morning..

The modest room funiture was all new, as the hotel appeared to be new. The room had a refridgerator & microwave unit. The TV was a flat screen HD -TV hanging on the wall. The tub/toilet was in a separate room from the sink making it convenient to use the sink while the tub/toilet was in use.

The bed was a little on the firm side. There was not any hook to hang your clothes on the inside of the bathroom door.

“Clean and New!!!!”

Ramada Inn

May 10, 2008

My friends and I were visiting Savannah and wanted to go to the Casino Cruise ship so we decided to stay one night in Brunswick, We stayed at Clean Stay and loved the staff, the breakfast, and rooms are very nice. All the rooms have a Flat Screen TV, its also very quiet, which we liked that since we got home late and didn't want to be awakened by any noise.

Next time I visit Savannah I will stay one day in Brunswick at the Clean Stay and I also recommend going to the Casino boat as well. Its fun and nice.!!!!

I tagged along on a short business trip with my husband, as I had not visited Brunswick, GA before. Plus, I wanted to visit Jekyll and St. Simon's islands.

The hotel staff is very nice, especially Rita at the front desk. It's located off of exit 36 on I-95. There are a few typical restaurants on the stip, but your best bet is to drive up to exit 38 where there are more popular chain restaurants and department stores. The mall is a little on the small side, but great to kill a little time. The hotel is perfect for a 1-2 day business trip and it's located a short distance from the other islands. There is also a continental breakfast..

Since the property is so new, I wouldn't be surprised if we were the first to stay in our room. The hotel is modest, but the accomodations were nice and very clean. I'm a very picky traveler, but I would stay there again without hesitation. Great value!

This brand new hotel opened in Dec. 2007. We had a mini kitchen in our large room, 4 burner countertop range, fridge and micro. The beds were very comfortable. Easy on/off I-95, Exit 36B. A block away from a supermarket. Located behind Captain Joe's Restaurant. It was $50.99 w or w/o coupon included cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, juice. Interior corridor w/elevator.
